# 1 Stunners of the World
Aww hell. Here we go. By popular demand!!!!
WHMs: Shadowlina Ihatesyrofoam Alglivien Goujen Meril Legandalas Technoir Gippo Corvi Amecaurilia Avo Aragonas Lydia Yviee Bonus Oldcrow Jimbobsonofgod (I have not seen you play it in quite some time) @Xodia, have you not already been warned once Troll about posting irrelevant ***to threads. I appreciate the comparison to a device that serves a utility. Thank you. Your words just continue to drive people to view my page. Gracias. Odin.Zicdeh said: » Non-bot stunning Tip: Even a slow stun can be valueble, especially if it's after a shadow-wiping ability. (Gates of Hades) I think only two things define a terrible stunner. 1: Not being able to observe a stun Order, 2: Panicking. As long as you keep your cool and follow the order, you're at worst, Mediocre. This is sort of a subset of 1., but actively declining to use a stun order because you do not trust the other stunner, and would prefer to solo stun can also lead to failure. Communication between stunners is key, but since voice chat, etc is not always possible, setting up, and following an order regardless of your own, or others perceived stunning prowess is advisable. Kayen pointed out something last night. 1st Embrava Scholar on Megabosses solo stuns while Tabula Rasa is still in effect. Manages Stun for 2nd embrava when his wears offs. Seemed to be pretty effective.
It seems quite trivial but coordinating alacrity JA's is crucial. No faster way to look silly then missing a stun because you were in the middle of reapplying alacrity. Is the stunning in Delve much more intensive than anything that has existed before (literally anything involving a stun order/stun as a "life saver") or are the average players just catching up to 2006?
Honest question. Honest question. The only issue is that certain nms spam a TP move every 2 seconds, when have we ever been able to stun a Move every 2 seconds? That's why it's rather intensive, prior to that we used CHainspell stun for anything of this nature where possible, but that isn't viable due to the HP on the current NM's. So yes 5+ mins of stunning on a NM that can wipe your pt, is pretty intense. More so than 2006 imo. That said, asking if using the spell in time is "harder" no, just the sheer recast makes its annoying. SHout out's to Cerberus SCH and WHM!
( I know it's not a cerberus thread but hey recognition where due ) SCH - Erage Heartslaught Anberlin <--- He took up my slack during a r0 fest. Thanks Sky Broadband. WHM - Sabre Hanson Shaddow Carna Kazeko These are the few mages I know I can trust during event's where I need someone to pay attention and react! We could start a player warning thread! But that might end up causing drama. Sylph.Talon said: » Aww hell. Here we go. By popular demand!!!! ToM staff helps out a lot :) So much to say on this but I have a serious question that would be more beneficial than trolling you. How do you, and everyone else, feel of the ToM staff vs the Altinian staff with Macc +180? I'm sure the ToM staff is nifty with Klimaform and Thunder weather but, the same buffs could be used but on a staff with 180 Macc. The same could be said about a cure bot. Just saying there is some skill and coordination involved in stunning. I applaud the people that take up the task of curing and stunning and preparing for it. If you don't like the way people do a certain job, then you play it. DON'T IGNORE ME PEOPLE! D:

Leeramond as sch @ Heinell. These are players that I know in game. It was intention and still is to provide recognition to these players who everyone knows does a great job in delve content. I would ask that other servers use this thread as a venue for the same. I really am not interested in the mickey mouse *** I stole your building block and hid it in my sandbox during recess comments. But its a public forum as well as a FFXI forum so just gotta make due. Until a moderator steps in...... To moldtech, it is my understanding that ToM staff allows 9 second stuns without the use of alacrity. Pen15 members all have one and they are the top NA shell on our server. The staff that just came out works as well but requires the use of alacrity if I understand correctly @Angierus
I know that the current state of the game is sad. All we can ask is that for a 45 minute session, people put aside their pride/ego/comments and just work together and get something done. I know that is a hypothetical state. Sylph.Talon said: » ***forgot to add Binckry as whm. Leeramond as sch @ Heinell. These are players that I know in game. WHMs: Shadowlina Ihatesyrofoam Yviee I like it sometimes when my party calls out status effects, but in Vent or Skype mostly. I'm not the best white mage, and I miss mob TP moves or spells in the log occasionally so hearing someone call it out can help. What I don't like as much is people calling out for buffs like Haste or Refresh. I know when your Haste is down, or your Boost-spell. If I haven't gotten it back up, there's a reason for it, like those DDs who just got blown up with a TP move ;) Fenrir.Moldtech said: » DON'T IGNORE ME PEOPLE! D: How do you, and everyone else, feel of the ToM staff vs the Altinian staff with Macc +180? I'm sure the ToM staff is nifty with Klimaform and Thunder weather but, the same buffs could be used but on a staff with 180 Macc. You don't use magian staff for the accuracy; you use it for the -recast. Accuracy is just a bonus. You can get recast down to ~7-8s with marches, perhaps lower with caster's roll. I don't know if everyone is fully aware of this, but any mob that has AoE moves for regular attacks uses TP moves much less frequently than mobs that don't. This is because their regular attacks count as TP moves (why you can't proc iron giants in abyssea while they are swinging), which does NOT reduce their TP, but it prevents them from using any other TP moves while they are attacking. For instance, their attack pattern goes like this: TP move > regular attack > (possible spell cast) > TP move > regular attack > etc. whereas a normal mob works like this TP move > TP move > TP move > etc. Normal mobs can ready TP moves while they are attacking, just like a PC can weapon skill while auto-attacking. Thus, you need a much lower recast to solo-stun these types of mobs. Mobs with TP moves as their regular attacks only require about an 8s recast to solo-stun everything. I've found this particularly useful in legion (mul) as every mob in there works like this. You can effectively solo stun everything in there without alacrity. All of the delve mega bosses also work like this. P.S. not saying atinian staff is useless, but the question of using one over the other should be related to whether the -recast is needed. Accuracy is a non-issue, unless you're going without a GEO. Amumu
and Leona ![]() scion and veigar too... oh wait, you mean in FFXI? my bad adding Atigevomega. Thanks man for all your help.
