the ls i'm talking about is a "Social" Linkshell. HE is the only one bitching to me about leveling WHM in that LS. Everyone else doesn't give a ***, because it's *gasp* social.
now if it was in the Dynamis LS, i'd understand. But this is the Social LS we're talking about. (i don't go into the dynamis ones much)

That's funny, I never said not to buy your spells. Last time I checked there weren't many that cost that much. I personally still don't have shell II because I only use -ra and it costs ~20k. It's understandable to skip out on scrolls for a bit if they're not necessary.
No, what is lazy is not being willing to do anything to earn gil, but then complain about being poor. Being lazy is QQing all day about not having a PT when you could've solo'd the levels already. If you actually listened to the advice people gave you, you'd have hit 21 quicker. DNC is especially a job that 15-21 goes fast on. Can do it twice in one day. It's also a good chance to learn how to really play the job.
Wednesday Dynamis is a very bad example for you to use for me being lazy and sitting around waiting or whatever. Wednesdays I drive back home. It's the only day between Sunday and Friday that GF gets to see me. If I'm idling for 2-3 hours before Dynamis, it's because I'm spending time with her.
You're forgetting that Dynamis hasn't been going for that long for gil. I hit 99 cooking 4 years ago. I didn't even have 45WHM when I did that. I made gil the old fashioned way. I even took out loans from other players as investments into my craft (100k from them, I pay back 125k the following week or so).
Care to try again?

reminded me when a whm joined our shell, we were about to pop something... and to poke fun of me he said he hadn't gotten pro and shell V. I can read just fine. I was pointing out that there are scrolls you can put off or miss out on completely to be able to upgrade certain pieces of gear. Noble's tunic is one of those pieces that you just shouldn't put off if you can help it. It's like full timing a dark staff instead of curing in a light staff.
How long did you spend begging the LS to sync to the dunes instead of soloing? Yeah, I remember you going and getting killed by lizzies. Besides that I didn't see you ever outside of a city on your low level job.
I understand not liking to solo. I don't know many people that do like it. Unfortunately these days you're better of soloing until Qufim. Most people solo to that point so dunes parties are going to be few and far between. Half the time they're ***PTs too. You got lucky with that one (though it still only went as fast as solo would).
You have to balance EXP and farming. If you don't have key pieces of gear, people are going to drop you from PT. At least with DNC you're lucky in that aspect. Aside from daggers you can pull off using ***for gear and still be able to halfway decent play your job. (inb4nottrue. My DNC is 54 and still has ***gear aside from daggers. That's one of the reasons I'm not playing it for a while.)
I'm not sure what the /sch or /smn has to do with Dynamis. Especially concerning gil. The entire point was that I made due with what I had. I didn't QQ about it or refuse to upgrade my gear. I took the time from leveling to upgrade my gear so that I wouldn't hurt other players.
Play how you want. That's fine. Just don't expect others to play with you if you're too gimp. WHM isn't a job to halfass.

Edit: At the worst it was a MT that I didn't notice since I was coordinating stuff for Einherjar. I forgot about it and they needed me so I was talking about WHM. I was cycling through 3-4 people at that point so that would make sense.

There are quite a few spells you can skip just because they are quite ... not useful at all unless you plan to solo on whm, and even then ... meh.
All in all, if you only hhave the gear for spells, most certainly I would rather have a gimp whm gearwise then a gimp whm spell wise.
