The only real bonus from Kampfschaller is the DEF+14.
Empress Hairpin has +11.5 EVA which means -5.75% damage taken over time, as well as higher AGI to help Shield and parry procs.

A little late but a PLD is no match for a good THF! I beat a PLD/DNC and a PLD/NIN on my THF at the same time in a Diorama screwing around with friends.

So a friend and I have done couple ISNMs together and every time we say we'll share. (He always offered btw) Well I believe that each time I've done that ISNM with him, he's gotten khroma ore and I've gotten zip. Lol every other time he has gone lately, he hasn't gotten ore, except when I'm there. I found it funny.

Edit: Meant to include this earlier, but the only thing not capped on PLD is my great sword skill. All other combat / magic skills are capped. Not sure if that makes a difference when it comes to gear. Just tossing it out there.

Hairpin is fine until the storm trooper(iron musketeer thingy) helm since your failvaan which means you have higher Def and hp
