and speaking of jet, I have a story around here somewhere about a kid I knew in high school named Robert with his same problem.
and I became curious what had happened to him after high school.. I had heard a rumor he was in prison ...but maybe he got out and turned his life around or something.... idk.
and I thought it might be educational, like, hey jet look at what happened to this guy...
so I looked on high school alumni page...nothing
facebook... nothing
guys that were his friend in high school... nothing
girls he dated in high school... nothing
even the girls that were friends with everyone in high school and have a thousand friends on facebook and keep touch with everyone they ever met.... NOTHING!
while I was on facebook I found an old friend requests from some torben jagervanjensen kid that was an exchange student from sweden or someshit for a semester...I know what he is up to!
but robert is gone
and I mean gone gone as in who would I even ask about him?

You really don't. While there are a few people on there I care about, the majority of my 'friends' (laughable term) are there for me to toy with or get a laugh out of. A few people post intellectual things and it's great to see people going places but most of Facebook is vacuous, inane, stupid, chest-beating, I think I can get away with posting tripe without being called on it.
I remember a fond conversation with a grade school chap who fancies himself a gentleman jihadist. Because jihad isn't holy war no sir but merely a conflict between those who know and those who must be taught. Because at the ripe age of 23 folks, you know. He tried to justify some attack on innocent civilians and that set me off cause - who likes this ***?
I made a joke about him posting from a training camp and asked how many Anwar al-Awlaki vids I needed to watch to be on my way to using children as grenades. Also asked if a clenched fist or open hand is the most efficient way to beat my wife. That turned out.... poorly. Islamophobe! Racist! Arrogant punk!
On the bright side seeing my HS government teacher have his first daughter (at 41) was amazing. His excitement about the entire thing, the soccer ball he put in the crib, the shaky cam at the hospital and snatching his daughter from her mother to cradle her was golden.

I haven't chimed in on ephebophilia because legally we arbitrarily pick 16-18 as the age of consent and that falls within the range of ephebos.
Sexual attraction to someone in this age group isn't 'weird' as many males/females are developed at this point but what rubs me the wrong way is the emotional manipulation that will inevitably happen between an older person and someone in this age group. It only gets worse the farther apart one is in age.
People in the 15-19 age group simply aren't developed mentally. At 15 what do you know about sex and love other than teehee boobs and teehee a penis? As far as many teens are concerned they think storks bring babies from Amazon.com. Worse are the idiot parents who don't tell their kids the truth. Someone ten years your senior can easily use you, damage your outlook on the world or cause an undesirable obsession. You see it happen with 19-21 year olds who are 'legal' all the time.
