Edit: so you we're clear top middle is referring to the 4th shelf in a 5 shelf system starting at the bottom with 1.

No, I get its a "different story" and not just a remake of the old cartoon, but there were very major changes in the transformer movie, from its cartoon counterpart in which it was supposed to be based on. (hence why they even went so far as to get the same guy to voice optimus after ALL these years)

To say you get it's a "different story" but then say there's to many major changes kinda contradicts itself.

Using the same characters for a different plot is what I understand, but they aren't even the same characters, is what I was getting at...Thats how major some of the changes were. They complete changed a lot of the characters that have the same names as characters in the original cartoon...

Honestly I'm pretty convinced the only reason old big time fans rage so much is that they literally aren't a live action remake of the 1987 film. Those are the people that went to the film expecting one thing and when they didn't get that they refused to even watch what they got instead.

Atleast I can laugh about my height...I'm short but I know ppl shorter...Just love how everyone in my family is so tall and they're all like, "hey mom, where'd she go?"...I had to learn to laugh about it and come up with positives...which was actually kind of hard

My youngest brothers are 5'11, my mom and their dad are both 6' and my older bro is 6'2ish I think.
My dad was like, idk 5'5ish maybe. I never knew him, parents divorced when I was 2 and he lived with my Aunt who I never saw on a regular basis until Max was 1 and I finally told her. She's like, 5'5 - 5'6

And no Uri.. I'm not raging that it wasn't a remake of the 87 film, as good as that was.... First off, what other "progressions" of Transformers were there even, other than Beast Wars? And in these other "progressions", was Jazz still an auto-bot that was a cop car? Was Megatron still a badass leader that was a giant cannon?
My gripes with the 07-08 (w/e) Transformer movie was the following, since it happens to include 3 of my favorite characters... 1) Jazz in the original was my favorite character. He was an auto-bot and he was a cop car. In the movie the cop car, was not only NOT jazz, he was a deceptacon...The only "car" deceptacons in the original cartoon were the Constructacons (I'll get to that later as it pertains to another character I loved from the original). Jazz in the movie was a "hip hop" wanna be jackass, who was completely unlike his original counterpart

2) Megatron's transformation in the original cartoon was a giant cannon. In the movie, it was a plane...a Jet, which most of the deceptacons were in the original cartoon. Not saying a jet is bad persay, but in the cartoon he was a giant, badass hand cannon.. I kinda wanted to see some of that in the movie, but I didn't get to :(.
3)Devastator was one of my favorite villains in the original cartoon because he was so huge and menacing. In the original cartoon, he was 4 or 5 construction robots (the constructacons) that came together to form Devastator... In the movie, he was a tank....
Those big changes (the megaton one not being SO big, but it was to me) weren't even for story purposes... They just made those changes just to make them... There was a cop car in the movie.. but it was a villain.. they could have EASILY just made Jazz a cop car...
Idk.. gonna end my rant here, because I explained my major points.. And for the record, I love bumblebee as a VW, but the Camaro change didn't KILL me to see.
