Imagine working for years to get the role of background part in a big movie, when someone that didn't do anything at all got the role of lead part.

So long story at work.
There's this caretaker who comes in with an elderly lady(85 or so) and they watch movies now and then. So today, they came in, and left the movie early because the old lady was being too noisy. The caretaker told her "Joe I'm going to the bathroom, I'll be back, don't move." and she promptly locked her wheelchair.
I looked back at Joe, and noticed she was undoing the locks on her wheelchair. Next thing I know, she's slowly rolling for the door. I say to her "Excuse me ma'am, I don't think you're supposed to be leaving yet!" "Ma'am?" and as she rolled past me she said "Bye-bye" and slowly started going out the door. Me being dumbfounded by what was going on ran to the bathroom and opened the door a tiny bit and yelled "I think Joe is making a run for it." The caretaker chuckled and said "Alright". I ran back outside to see where Joe had gone, and she was starting to go down a small slope heading for the street. She was picking up speed and was not controlling the wheelchair.
As I ran for her to try and catch her before she went into the street, she went off the curb, and fell off of her wheelchair into the street. Thankfully a pedestrian was near and grabbed the wheelchair from oncoming traffic while I tried to lift her up to safety. While getting her up I asked "Are you ok??" and she replied(Y U MAKE THINGS SO SAD) "No one cares" and I was like "D:! I CARE" and helped her onto the sidewalk while her caretaker ran outside and I assisted her back into her chair.
Thankfully she wasn't injured and they peacefully went on their way.
Made me so sad that she said "No one cares." :(

when you're so old that you need someone to wipe your ***, I dont think anyone would wanna live through that. She was probably in so much pain that dying was her only medicine. You did the right thing, and dont let some jerkoff old *** tell you otherwise.
