I am using cyberpower to build a pc for Realm Reborn. I want it to run the game with no issues and with top notch graphics. It would be nice to hook it up to my 60 inch tv in my man cave since I am used to playing XI on xbox.

What should I focus on to make sure I build a powerful computer?

Is it more about Graphic card or processor?

I have about 1500 to spend.

ya I need more specific info..

intel or amd?

If I go intel does it matter if its a I5 or a I7 to run the game at high level?

Does it matter about the motherboard?

I am leaning for nividia graphics card and just go as high as I can without going over budget

AMD for savings, Intel for super performance. I have currently have a AMD 8320 8core cpu, with 16gb of ripjaw ram. My graphics card is a Radeon 6870, and I can run the benchmark at max 1080p full screen and get a score of about 8000, which is not too bad. So technically a I5 can do very well in the game (and a I7 can pretty much eat it alive), and with a better graphics card you could max your game out easily. As far a graphics card, you cant go wrong with AMD or Nvidia. Both vendors make good hardware, so its really more or less a price thing. Finally, motherboards are really flexible. All depends on what you want, such as number of ports, types of ports, speed and such.

Everyone is gonna scream intel cpu wise, but I have experienced AMD's newest cpu, the fx-9590 4.7. Comes overclocked to 5.0 and is still cheaper than Intel's best and like 10x better. However its still damn near $800. So that is probably off your list. Maybe at least consider an AMD-socket: AM3+ motherboard for future upgrades. Having been in the pc repair business for years the one thing I try to stress to people who have custom systems, is plan for the future, because of how fast stuff changes. Beings as ffxiv can be played top notch with a 800 dollar system. You should have no problem getting that objective cleared.

This is what I got so far. Is there anything I need to change? Is it over the top? I am right at 1500.

That would work just fine if that is what you would like. The CPU will last you at least 2-3 years topping out all games, however be prepared for that clock speed to be on intel's low list by then also. So make sure its a socket type is something you can deal with then also, I know there are far more socket LGA 1155's than 1150's.

Also don't forget power supply capable of running your gpu(s) (600w+ would do just fine)an optical drive, and case of course :D

Is building your own pc out of the question? (It really doesn't take long to put your stuff together, it's not hard at all, and you can save a ton of money)

Also:

if you have the option to I would go with a ASUS gpu. They run extremely cool.

Get an aftermarket cooler for your cpu. Stock coolers always suck, and if it's oc'd you'll need one.

May want to invest in a better cpu cooler for i7 as well, my i7 2600k 3.4 ghz's stock cooler simply wasnt sufficient enough to cool it even at very basic cpu loads.

Sorry to bother everyone on here today. I need some help on building my own PC. My budget is 1k. I would like to try and stream games like league of legends. If that is not possible with this budget then can you recommend me a PC that is around this budget and would also transition to playing 14? Thanks again for your time guys!
