Is it just me or is there no mention of REM weapons at all?
Something tells me we wont see any information or changes till the end of the year. :/
Likely wont release any updates to REM weapons until a few months after FFXIV release in August

I can't really find myself getting to upset over this to be honest I know what to expect and I like what we are getting, since I don't really chomp at the bits for new content since I tend to drag my feet on what is already here I don't feel too bothered by it.
I am curious for more story stuff and other stuff to come and I'll accept the split update. As far as the RME, I'm pretty sure it's more complicated then changing a couple of digits. If they simply release the updated items without taking future content into account they could run into the same problem down the road since the completely changed their original plan with them anyway. I'm not expecting to hear anything about them for awhile yet.

As a developer myself, I can't understand how it takes them so long to do basic things...
Other than the fact the one developer that the FFXI team consists of only works on XI for one day a week, the other 4 he works on XIV... I guess?
Would having not being present/knowing the beginnings of said system (FFXI Being built), and using a 11+ Year old system have any effect on it?
I mean, In todays development, If you know a system and design it, so forth, its probably much easier. FFXI is an 11 year old game and if i recall they informed us most if not all of the original dev team is gone so FFXI's Dev team is working on someone elses spaghetti code.
It should be a case of education, and while I pretty much stand believing they have like 2-3 People who spend most of the day playing Paper-Basketball with the trashcan... I think updating an 11+ year old MMO with a staff who did not design it probably has some issues with it, and apparently they go through a lot of "Balancing" of the content, as present by the fact some of it is changed even before implementation.
If anything the delays are due to slow decision making.
(P.S none of this post is sarcastic towards you, any questions are are valid)

Any ideas on what the new animator may do maybe one to improve mage stats? its going to be a coalition animator that is the buffer til you get alternator.

I'm not sure what stats are written in a convoluted manner, other than stats that aren't even written They are probably going to fix "Enhances Snapshot"(But whats the vvvaallueeee!!!?) type stuff. and prolly lower +Accuracy to +ACC and that ilk.
And as far as new weapons/gear from coalitions...please give me arrows,bolts,and bullets...thats all i want ;A;

Both are by the same company... People are getting butthurt that SE is screwing them over in FFXI (in their minds) and moving to FFXIV as a result which is the SAME COMPANY.

Update sounds amazing new naakual! can't wait! Hopefully the new loot that comes with them has some new models or better texture reskins cause most of the adoulin items are pretty ugly looking considering their power level :(
The fact that some delve megaboss drops use the same model as naak drops without any voidwatch style pulse glow or something visually extra just seems lazy as hell on the part of the devteam.

Both are by the same company... People are getting butthurt that SE is screwing them over in FFXI (in their minds) and moving to FFXIV as a result which is the SAME COMPANY.
The idea is to get you to SWITCH OVER to FFXIV. Mwaha! MWAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA

I'd like to make an announcement about the next version update.
We’ve been working extremely hard to fit as much content as possible in the July version update so everyone can enjoy it over summer break, but due to balance adjustments, bug verification, and localization work we will be splitting up the update into two portions, the first taking place on July 9th (Tuesday) and the other taking place the beginning of August.
I apologize to everyone who was looking forward to this.
Below I've written out a comprehensive list of the content that will be implemented during each part.

Up until now we have released year-long roadmaps for FFXI.
We also tried releasing half-year roadmaps as well; however, the further out we write a schedule the less accurate it becomes, and we are only able to let you know about major and limited content.
As a result, many have been disappointed because of schedule changes, it's been difficult to make frequent updates to it, and there are too many cons to having this, so we'll be changing it so we provide something like the current style moving forward where we go over what will be in the version update to come.
