Well they are both veteran fighters and have been in all 3 so far. I'm sure they will be announced in the coming months on the website. E3 is the place to announce new comers not veterans.
And I hope there is no DLC ever. I want my games 100% complete when I buy them. Not pay 100% the price of a game for 60% of a game.

nintendo, capcom, and now namco , I want 1 square enix character, something old school like fighter from ff1 or Chrono form chrono trigger.
If Sqaure were to put anyone in Smash it would have to be something that sold a lot of copies on a Nintedo platform like either Onion Knight or Tiz from Bravely Default.
I think that's it for 3rd party developers though. Unless Konami sends in Snake again or Simon Belmont this time.

I was expecting a sequel to Dark Dawn to be announced but nothing yet.
Crono would be amazing but I'm "that guy" who prefers Cross over Trigger. Serge would be awesome because of his weapon.
Geno and Mallow would be sooooo great though.
And speaking of Mallow, Mallo from Pushmo/Crashmo would be so cute and funny to use haha. Even as an assist trophy would make my day.

If SE introduced a character to Smash Bros, it would more than likely be somebody from FFI-VI than Geno.

Sadly pretty sure that is impossible. Back for Brawl they said the rule for 3rd party characters was they must have a Nintendo release. Chrono Cross is PlayStation only so those characters don't meet the reqs.
Sonic - Has seen pretty much every sonic game on Nintendo since they closed up shop.
Mega-man - Large amounts of Handheld releases + pretty much every game coming to the virtual console in the next few months.
Snake - The redone version of Metal Gear Solid.

I was really hoping for someone like Isaac as well. And just because a character isn't announced doesn't mean that they won't be in the game. I believe when Brawl came out Sakurai did not reveal every character on the website until the day it released. He wanted to keep some characters "secret" and unlockable. It's becoming harder for him to do that with the increase of media being shown on the internet since the original smash 64.

There's already a large amount of sword wielders though. I feel as though Sakurai wants diversity. But then again this is the same guy that gave us Fox/Falco/Wolf Captain Falcon/Gannondorf Link/Toon Link Ness/Lucas so I don't know. He could just keep putting clone characters in for the heck of it.
I would like to see new fighting styles introduced. Something like axe wielders (looking at you Hector), grapplers (Mallo), whips (Simon Belmont though ZSS has hers), unorthodox style (Uh... Something completely random. Like say... That Devil Boy from that one Mario clone game I can't remember the name of. Or Master Blaster tank thing.)
