Temporary Disable Controller?

Is there any known way to temporarily disable your controller for short periods of time from your current ffxi process? Reason i ask is I would like to start playing my little snes emulator while waiting on people to gather for ffxi stuff, only problem is, even with that on top all the buttons still affect my ffxi.

When i dual box, only my screen on top gets affected by the controller. So is there anyway to make this apply for other apps like i said an emulator? and not move my guys around on ffxi?

If you're using windower you can try //game_minimize

Game minimize doesn't work ^^; you just can't see yourself running around like a moron!

hahaha, I actually never checked if I was moving around like that when playing something else... I'll check right now by logging alt on another machine :P

Just tried ePSXe and FF7PC new version and my character wasn't moving, and ffxi wasn't even minimized but not in focus.

I don't know why yours would continue to move character even when ffxi window is out focus.

I know that without Windower, FFXI stops taking inputs from the joystick and keyboard once focus is lost.

Mine only does that when Dual boxing. Single boxing I still receive input.

I've heard some people's do, but mine never does aside from one old windower hook back during ToAU that changed it for a bit but the next one reverted back to normal.
