Same Character Is Already Logged In

hello

i just tried to log in to the game and get this message or a message saying unable to connect to lobby/server.

ok logged in eventualy and now im getting R0 frequent which never usualy happens.

any ideas anyone,is SE having server issues?

Edit:just lost connection and it says no response from the server,connetion timed out

that usually happens to me when I d/c and log back on too quick. You might think it's someone trying to hack you but it's rly not.. just your character has not fully dc'd yet.... as for the frequent R0's... I don't know... I'm not having any issues at least.. maybe it's your area.

I'm logged in ok and im from aus! Maybe somthing weird happened while u logged in and got d/c'd straight away and character still was red doting in game as you where trying to log back in??? if that makes sense

The one I hate is when I log from one character to another. And the new one gets a lobby error so it kicks me back to character select. Then that character can't log back in because like you say, the game says you're already logged in.

I've even had the bizarre case a few times, of logging another character in from the same account, which gets in fine. Logging them back out and trying the problem character again. Only to get the 'character already logged in' message.
And that is definitely waaaay longer than red dot dc time.

Overall the game is pretty sturdy connection wise for me. It's just annoying when login problems happen just as you're trying to do something important..

The RMT are currently stripping your character of gil and items.

If you're using windower it's a little quirk of it (at least for me). If I d/c but not crash and I just straight login again without restarting windower first I'm pretty much guaranteed to d/c again within a minute or two. Then if I login the 3rd time fast enough the game will still detect that I'm still online.

Sounds like you just had an internet hickup during your first login and your subsequent login was too quick for the system to recognize your d/c.

If you crash it takes the game a fair bit of time to realize you are gone.

After your character vanishes (is red dot duration 60 seconds?) it is still logged into the lobby server for an unknown interval.
