Cruor?

Hi all, so about 10 months ago when i was playing cruor was a nice way to make some quick and fast gil. Seeing as SE doesnt like the player base succeeding the nerf came in. So whats the cruor good for nowadays barring, VW and brews? can money still be made with cruor or is that now a long foregone conclusion?

Ten months ago or so, you stopped playing. It kind of sounds like you're playing again. How much cruor did you gain in that time? Compare that to the amount of cruor the people who do 18 VW runs a day have. If anything, I'd think you'd consider yourself lucky that any player with the desire to didn't gain millions and millions of gil while you gained nothing.

SE nerfed any significant way to get gil from cruor directly. Best usage for it now is probably to burn through those Empyrean upgrade NMs we've come to love so much.

i only have about 3-4million cruor, not much, brewing is fine for me. Was just curious if there was anything tangible left to use it on other than brews....

And yeah i returned over the weekend due to multiple requests for me t start playing again by friends that wanted to start playing again. Been told so much has changed since i left but don't see anything that's actually remotely different. I mean San D'oria is still standing... Windurst still hasn't been overrun by fire...so when i ask whats changed i get a blank expression lol

Main things Cruor is used for nowadays is brewing and for getting setup with VW. Should invest in getting the Discernment KIs for it, and probably consider taking up aome Atmacites to suit your needs.

Or just hold onto some for easy warps just about everywhere once you progress far along into VW.

I'm actually up to the final VW fight, Provenance Watcher, fought it once but didnt win. So almost all of VW is clear, at least i have all the warps anyway :)

You seem pretty butthurt about it but honestly, it was for the best interest of the game economy that they stopped it. Because so much gil was coming in to the game through free cruor, in only 2 years, cruor has put the worth of gil at an all time low since the mega ban of '06. When a stack of crystals was 15k. Also, because it was so easy to make gil via cruor, there were an insane amount of ppl that'd make 10ish mules, idle in aby, while this person dual boxes a cleave party making tons of cruor, then they use third party programs to auto-buy blinkers while they are at work or masturbating or whatever. TBH, im quite ok with SE not allowing you to sell cruor like before.

You actually sound way more butthurt by the people who did make their free gil than the OP does about the nerf.

Not butthurt at all, my main use of cruor previously was just selling it and brewing literally. My question simply was what its uses are now (other than atmacite and brews), ive been out the game for 10-11 months and have had no exposure at all. It seems to me as Scmule has pointed out that your far more upset about the decision to nerf blinkers than you let on. I have other ways to make gil. It was a general observatory question which like always in these forums seems to piss someone off.

And as for my opening message, tell me something that hasnt been nerfed that is not Samurai lol Ukor's Fury? Victory Smite? My point still stands lol

If you want to make gil from your cruor then trade them for Rubi Cells.The past has an npc where you can get 1 cell for 3000cruor and sell it for the same on AH. (at least on my server.) Otherwise stick to brewing and Atmacite.
