Skill Up Blue Magic!

Heya am stuck at 330 skill level not sure where to skill up atm skill up are slow atm am killing frigatebirds in abyssea misareaux getting skill up but slow is there some where better to go thank for any info.

Buy some B.E.W. Pitaru (under meals > Breads and Rice). Go to conflux 5 in Uleguerand_Range [A]. Head south to the Bluffalo camp.Set Atma of the Mounted Champion, Stronghold, & Minikin Monstrosity. The first two are good Regen atmas. The Minikin is a refresh atma. You'll be able to cap any and all skills to A+ (424) on the DC that spawn here. Rarely EP spawn there for some reason, but I don't know what conditions cause that. I capped every skill in the game here and only saw EP spawn there maybe 3 times or so.

Obviously you'll want to spam your low damage / quick cast time / low MP cost early lowbie spells. You'll also want to set something that can remove Paralyze if you don't go /WHM or /DNC.

All the cool kids spam pollen overnight.

I'd go for monsters around level 90 for optimum skilling up at your skill I think. Make sure to use magic spells like sandspin since they can't miss. I think the crabs in Grauberg might work pretty well for a little bit but after that I think you wouldn't have a lot of problems landing stuff on VWNMs with ascetic's + decent Macc gear so you can just skill up on NMs.

I made a script that alternated Power Attack and Rabbit Kick every 3.5s(maybe less, I forgot but it was low enough that it casted at the earliest possible time allowable). I put on as much Fast Cast gear as I could muster with other slots having PDT and I think auto refresh gear in slots that didn't have either. I went to Abyssea La Theine and grabbed like 3-5 frogs and brought them to a corner away from ephemerals and made sure they faced my front using the right-wall-trick. With my weapons sheathed, I spammed Rabbit kick and power attack with one regen atma(the other 2 were MM and future fab) /RDM sub. The pronoun in the script was something like

/target <stnpc>
/ma "Foot Kick" <t>
/wait 3.4
/ma "Power Attack"

or something along those lines, as long as the mobs are infront of you you'll spam those spells and when your target dies, it will select the next mob that tries to attack you(which makes you auto-select it). I chose frogs since they don't TP and they're pretty weak. Did that from like 100-300ish then finished off on DC-EM bluffalos or those Glen Crabs in Abyssea Grauberg

I capped Sword and Blue Magic skill in a few hours at Grauberg on crabs.

But yea, i found pollen spamming to be a fast way to skill and spamming offensive spells way to slow for my liking.

Yeah I skilled my blu magic while skilling sword and getting merits in worm camp!

I think I was like 80 skill magic and about the same sword. I just ate skillup food (saltena/montagna all that... none of the pitaru stuff) and spammed bludgeon and jet stream on worms while keeping stalwart's tonic up almost 100% of the time. They're both 3 hit physical spells and I knocked out 3 birds with one stone. Just food for thought. Good luck man and enjoy BLU it's a blast! :)

m finding that hard to believe. I'm at 200 and I can barely hit the worms and when I do, I don't get skillups.

Use magical spells since they can't miss.

I spammed sandspin and foot kick. And if you're that low, just go to the Steelshell in Boyahda Tree and skill up there. Refresh spell, auto-refresh gear, etc... Then skill up and move onward to Mis[A] to the crabs there. Then to the Glen Crabs in Grauberg[A].

Physical spell accuracy is based off main hand weapon acc. So if your sword is capped, you won't miss, even with 0 blu skill, damage will just suck horribly.

Magical spells won't miss but they are also much slower cast times. Sprout smack, foot kick and power attack in a cycle. Can spam them very fast with little mp use. Wear full refresh gear/pdt if you have any and in abyssea with full regen atmas, you can basically walk over to a mob and start spamming. Just make sure your sword skill is leveled first.
