14 Day Free Trial + 30 Day Free Trial

I recently played through a 14 Day Trial of FFXI, and wanted to upgrade to the full game. I was wondering if I will also be able to use the 30 days free I get with the purchase of the full game to continue playing the character I create during the 14 Day Free Trial for a total of 44 Days of Free FFXI.

I'm concerned if I purchase the game and use the code on the account I created for the 14 Day Free Trial that I won't get the extra 30 days. If that's the case, I'd rather create a new account in order to utilize the full 30 days free.

Let it be noted:
I found a thread for this question on ZAM, but the answer was never clarified by the OP to be correct.

My only concern to the answer provided possibly being incorrect is because the Square-Enix Disclaimer before you buy says:
"A free 30 day subscription for all new accounts is included with your purchase of FINAL FANTASY XI."
Not sure if my 14 Day old account would be considered new or not.

Hoping someone with experience of whether or not this works could provide some insight.

I do not believe that it will give you the 30 days of free game time.

If it doesn't work, I just wasted 14 days. Lol. Gonna have to relevel everything to 30.

I'm actually pretty sure it is possible to have the 44 days of free play since I do remember that I was able to have the 30 days free after my 14 free trial days ended.

Yes, I was able to keep the same account/character I created during the trial.

About how to contact SE I'd say you should check SE Support Centre.

That is a false belief.

Many have gotten 14 + 30 days free.

Your account has to be new to get the game time correct? If people can get 14 + 30 then why was I not given the 30 days when I purchased the full game for expansions?

It does, in fact, work. Just transferred my account to the full version via the button on the Square-Enix Account Management website.

"Your service account has been transferred to the regular billing-based service.


・All continuous options (characters) are currently "Cancelled."
・To continue playing the game with your transferred data, please reactivate your continuous options via "Reactivate" on the Options List.
・The 30-Day free trial period will begin when you have reactivated one of your continuous options.
*If you continue to use your characters after the 30-Day Free Trial has ended, you will be billed FINAL FANTASY XI service fees. All service fees will be billed after the end of the free trial period."

As you can see. You do get the free 30 days even after the 14 days free.

How the heck do you get a 14 day free trial?
