I remember reading in an update somewhere that unlike in the past you do NOT loose your outpost warps that you have earned however, here is my question.

I am with Bastok, if I join Windurst will I still have my Bastok outposts or only while I'm with Bastok?

previously, if you left your home nation, OP information was lost, I believe, & I could be wrong here, that they changed it so that if you move away from your old nation, then move back, your info is there now, I believe previously you had to do them again.

honestly I'm not sure :|

I can tell you though, I had all OP's for windy, moved to the other nations to get rank 10, then moved back & my windy ones were still there. I know that doesn't answer your question, but it should make you braver about experimenting.

someone that knows for sure will be along eventually, I'm sure.

sry I couldn't be of more help.

In the past, changing nations would wipe your record clean; you'd have to redo the quests each time (even if you were changing back to a previous nation). This cost me Gustaberg and Sarutabaruta way back when. :<

The update you mentioned changed things so that your OP quest record is saved for each nation you join. Changing to Windurst will not erase your Bastok record, though you will not be able to warp until you either switch back to Bastok or redo the quests in Windurst.

Edit: I should also add that this change was unfortunately not retroactive, so if you switched before the update you're SOL. :/

I had changed nations from windy to Bastok and I have not done a single op warp quest for Bastok and yet I have every op warp.

They may have changed something recently or this may be a small glitch in my favor.

I'll simplify what Immortalmoon is trying to say.

You keep any Out Post warps you've unlocked when you switch nations.

Simple as that.

Yes. For 56,000 gil you can switch from your current, to the other two, and then back to your main nation if you want and get all the outpost warps (unless they're held by beastmen). 56,000 gil isn't much considering how useful they can be.
To immigrate:
1st Place in Conquest - 40,000g
2nd Place in Conquest - 12,000g
3rd Place in Conquest - 4,000g

Mixed messages, but think I'm gonna try it on another char that I have. See, a bunch of my friends and family has started replaying. We are all Bastok however it would be easy to switch to Windy then Sandy to get those regions then back to Bastok if you retain them no matter what nation your with.

Seems that some have done it so worth a try!

I changed from Bastok to Windurst just before christmas so I can go through the story with my friends that recently returned, I still have all of my previous outpost warps. I've been playing since 06 and never switched before so they definately ARE saved.

They are saved, it was changed in a update some time ago, 2011 maybe?
It used to be like Josiahfk mentions prior to that.

Outposts are only saved at each nation

Get an OP for bastok -> Switch to windurst and have to get all OPs again, none yet for windurst. Switch Back to bastok -> all your original OPs are saved

This used to be the case... it was changed in the last year or so.

...

After searching a while, found it! 9/20/2011 update:
September 20 2011 Version Update

Quote:
•Players may now use the teleport service to teleport to any outpost for which they have completed a supply mission, regardless of their current nation affiliation.
