(Don't) Fear the Reaper: A Dark Knight Guide
sadly the free bonanza kupon that you get just for logging in doesnt have crep scythe as an option, and i wouldnt blow 20+m on a trove drop or potentially months of shinryu for a mule just to play with a relevant stat scythe.
It's common afaik, not the same drop rate as dagger is it?
same as the dagger/armor, so its all equally ***drop wise
The hypothetical scythe user exists as I have described lol.

Weird I passed on 2 scythe to other people so far. I lost interest in twilight/Crep after they turned the damage trait into an enchantment tbh. It worked out because I got a Crep knife in exchange. Both trove drops, never saw it from the HTBF like everm How relevant are the low/mid tier sets here now? Trying to gear a new Dark Knight and have been looking around for things not using Nyame/Sakpata since I don't have access to those or the ability to augment them and probably won't for a long while.

has a better list of progression sets imo, the OP i believe is very outdated. Would highly recommend trying to get atleast sakpata, very sturdy set that also gives good dmg stats, doesnt even need to be augmented to have real value. Understood, I'll try to see if I can worm my way into a kill to be able to buy it! Thank you for the link!
If you're on Asura, message me in game. I can solo the V1 Kalunga for you
Unfortunately on Cerberus, but I appreciate the offer!
Was wondering what the word on the street is for DRK TP sets.
I looked over the BG All jobs one, and thought to myself, "Carmine Boots+1? Surely DRK's got better options..." But I'm struggling to find good options that satisfy, thought I might turn to some of you master DRKs. Taint Be Won Kenobi, you're my only hope! All jobs set tp sets are bis "time to WS" tp sets, but they often don't take anything else into consideration. Like if you could get 0.01% dps less but gain 100meva or if you can get dps gain by wearing set that has +10% white damage losing 1% tp gain speed. That's why I suggest playing with Sim yourself. Well the most annoying thing about TP sets now is needing an uncapped and capped attack set, and not knowing when you're for sure capped or not. Like what does capped attack in limbus 130 look like? 5k or 6k? No-one uses dia because of sleeps

Good place to start (not updated with +4, but can deduce where that applies). https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/50426/high-end-sets-advicesuggestionsideaslua/ Asura.Vyre said: » Was wondering what the word on the street is for DRK TP sets. Easy answer is sakpata, there's better raw TP pieces like a well augmented pair of valorous boots, or drk af+3 legs/odyssean legs but sakpata even at r0 is fairly competive in most slots while also being much tankier Some of my sets/ideas (none of these are spreadsheet approved or simulated, so there could be better options or combinations). Most are relatively glassy, but Sakpata's are the main swap to beef them up, and Drain 3/Dread Spikes gives a buffer.

SimonSes said: » It's DRK thread not WAR :) Same advice :) Bonus points - you don't need extra inventory space. Personally I see also no reason not to simply wear this for TP:
Code main="Caladbolg", sub="Utu Grip", ranged=Empty, ammo="Coiste Bodhar", head="Sakpata's Helm", body="Sakpata's Plate", hands="Sakpata's Gauntlets", legs="Sakpata's Cuisses", feet="Sakpata's Leggings", neck="Abyssal Beads +2", waist="Ioskeha Belt +1", ear1="Schere Earring", ear2="Brutal Earring", ring1="Niqmaddu Ring", ring2="Moonlight Ring", back="Null Shawl", Sakpata + Null is so much meva that it feels like cheating in most content. AF legs gives almost same results in sim with AM3 and very marginal improvement with AM1, so I wouldn't bother when Sakpata adds so much defensively. 45%DT is more than enough. Switch Niqmadu to another moonlight for 50%. For Foenaria the only change would probably be dedition earring instead of brutal maybe. For LR down you need to swap 2 out of 3 things of your choice: - legs to AF+4 - belt to sailfi +1 R15 - feet to Nyame path B Each of them adds +1% haste from required 2% you need to cap equip haste. dps wise I think af+belt or af+nyame is marginally better, but nyame+belt keeps your fantastic defensive stats. I pretty much wear 5/5 sakpata for mostly everything. I have a toggle for schere for when I'm using scythe, which is why my base set doesn't include it. But for the most part my sets exactly the same, and i go back and forth in there neck slot, but I generally think jse is better
In Limbus, you can magic burst high drains, and origin shenanigans allow you to be careless defensively just for the hell of it Taint said: » Schere with GS becomes problematic. I keep forgetting about it (I don't really use GS in game :P I have been in team scythe forever, beside one short affair with Rune Chopper :D). Sim shows Dedition/Brutal being best for Halheim/Calad if I disable Schere. PDL JSE earring no good at attack cap then? Obviously better than devotion if you are under accuracy cap though?
If you wanted to maximize your white dmg it probably has a place but otherwise its a WS swap/acc swap. It doesnt really offer anything but atk so anything that has any combo of MA/STP could likely compete just due to getting to WS faster
Though fine for oddy where it really counts, I cant stand full sakpatas on either weapons tp set. Too little stp. Can definitely stand to loose some meva and dt in all other content, including sortie. Not knocking the inventory savor 5000 build approach but it is definitely not a requirement to play the game and you will get better tp gain throwing in some lesser defensive peices.
