The FFXIAH Card Game

Leon and I are up to something figuring out the rules and having some balancing issues for a card game.
The game is going to be a card game that's based on the forums and the different groups that reside in it. Its going to be a slight mix of different card games but overall be a simple game that could be played with a chance of some custom art for cards.

The Game:
There are 2 types of Cards. Monsters and Magic.
Of the monster cards there put into 4 categories
-RandomThoughts, Linkshell:Ni, Subligars, Everything else.
For magic cards, they are classified into 3 types:
-Light, Dark and Elemental.

Each monster card has a certain amount of health and attack points.
The goal of the game is to beat your opponents monster's and make your opponents life points reach 0.
(Overall you can think of the game as a really simplified version of Poke'mon, YuGiOh and Magic the Gathering all put together)

Each Monster category counter's the other (but crazy overpowering)
The bonus that the monster gets is +1 attack (unless specified by the card description or magic effects).

So for example. If a Subligar monster fights a monster from Randomthoughts (name pending) The Subligar monster will get +1 attack to their current attack rating.

So overall, The objective is to keep your monster's alive through magic/monster abilities, destroy the enemy monsters and defeat your opponents life points.

Magic cards can heal monsters, deal damage to monsters. and destroy other magic cards based on their description/type etc.

-=Current Basic rules=- (work in progress)
-Max of 7 cards in hand (unless specified otherwise)
-Can have up to 5 monster's on the field
-Can have up to 3 magic cards on the field
-Players have 20 health.
-Each time a monster is lost, the player loses 1 health
-When a monster attacks the player directly they lose health equal to the monster's attack
-Magic cards stay on the field permanently unless they are being replaced by another magic card or some card effect.
-If opponent's deck is out of cards they lose
-If opponent has no health points they lose.
