Action against RMT Activity Involving Power Level
All I am going to say is it took them long enough to notice.

In my opinion they should have kept the level requirement for abyssea somewhere in the 70-75 range. Doesnt make much sense to me why a level 30 job has any business in a zone of all 75+ mobs. That combined with the structure of how abyssea exp works (chest exp is not scaled down by level etc...), it seems SE was creating a leveling system entirely on purpose that emphasized leaching.

It was something to do with him wanting "people to be able to pick up the game, not have to spend all their time grinding EXP out and be able to play with their friends at the end much faster". Then, they shouldn't be surprised that rmt powerleveling services popped up immediatly :(. The thing that annoys me most about the whole situation is the fact that any knowledgeable player can spot a RMT cleave party from a mile away. If SE is going to decide they "care" about RMT activities, then it shouldn't be all that difficult to distinguish between rmt and legit player cleave parties. It is also worth noting this is only a small proportion of how rmt's make gil and compared to the other methods, cleave parties are by far the most beneficial to the game economy. You'd think so, but it's SE, I'm surprised half the staff can tie their own shoelaces sometimes.
Personally, I have nothing against the RMT FC's, I'd love to see some good non-RMT shouts once in a while, but meh, what'm I going to do? I just hope whatever they end up doing to "take action" against this is done carefully. They really can't be too careful, with a declining playerbase, as to who they end up hitting with the banhammer. You know that if a player did this for legit gil use and not RMT, they would still ban them. STF has a very hard time distinguishing between rmt and real players so in other words FC party's are dead.

Yes, legit players were getting ban for gardening on their mules before they put that time limit before you could start growing in.
It has nothing to do with "being lazy" for me either. I've been playing a long time, and leveled the old fashioned legit ways. Fact is we had to do SO MUCH exp grinding back then that I'm tired of it. Any job I level now will be purely utility and won't be geared up well for whatever I need it for. Ntm I did FC party's to make money. SE taking yet another form of income away -.-

Been through dangruf wadi in the last few years? Maybe doing rank missions or low level quests? Cause that is a zone where level 20 players are surrounded by lvl90+ mobs. There could be any number of reasons for a level 30 player to be in that zone. Leeching isn't what they designed it for, it was to open more efficient leveling options for an aging game based around endgame. Dangruf Wadi has all 75+ mobs? Please tell me more, because I just leveled from level 8-15 there the other day solo. I must be real good. You were in the wrong part of the zone then. High level mobs have been added to many low level zones.
I`m seeing new RMT tells also. Wish there was away to stop those. ><
You can turn on the chat filter, but then like half the time it will filter out stuff that your friends are trying to say to you.

Phoenix.Gaiarorshack said: » Seraph.Nelo said: » You were in the wrong part of the zone then. High level mobs have been added to many low level zones. The point was that the level of mobs in an area doesn't mean anything about whether a particular level of player had a right to occupy it. And you conveniently missed the summary of my post explaining why 75 was not the level requirement for the abyssea zones as stated many times by others including members of the development team responsible for it. Did it not occur to you that some long time players from pre-abby may choose to return on a new account and could be spared the months of party leveling required to do endgame events? People exploit game mechanics constantly and making the level to enter Abby higher would only mean rmt gov cleave shouts. There are people who sell rare/ex drops from nms/events and those people don't play regularly, they just play to sell rare/ex drops. Wouldn't this be considered the same thing? Those players are selling something that you would normally have to find other people to help you get. If their sole purpose is to log on and only sell drops and then use the gil they earn for the same purposes as RMT's, they should be banned also. People use to team up to achieve things in this game, but since abyssea it's all about laziness. Some of the people that do FC parties are buying their relic/mythic items with the gil, but some are just RMT's selling the gil and SE will have to ban them all unless they track the gil earned from each FC to see where it goes. They should also track IP addresses of banned people so they don't just make a new account an hour later.
Leviathan.Zanosuz said: » They should also track IP addresses of banned people so they don't just make a new account an hour later. Proxies, VPNs, Socks Servers and the ability to buy hundreds of IP addresses on a whim to tunnel through render this idea ineffective sadly pro RMT will be onto this kinda stuff. An IP ban might only work against Joe Average, who probably has a dynamic IP address that's not worth banning anyway. SE's security team for banning "RMT's" is pure ***. I played FFxi i had 4 mules for gardening and I leveled my LC for my main source of income on my main toon. I stayed broke as hell not because i was selling for RL currency just because I couldnr control my spending habits LMAO. But i end up getting banned for RMT activity I never associated with rmt i CUSSED alot of them out as a matter of fact. But in the end i got a LM-31 that to this day SE will not explain to me why i got the LM-31 they just say RMT activity their reasons included the movement of GIL/Items at an Alarming rate thats all they would tell me but of course i was moving gil at an Alarming rate i was tryin to power my leathercraft from 92-100 and I spent all friggin day in Labyrinth of Onzozo farming Torama for hides it was just really stupid to me I honestly believe that another lethercrafter reported me because i was killing Torama faster than him and he was not getting any pops but meh. but back on subject SE's team cant determine who is or is not RMT they just make random selections and its set in stone from there. I believe alot of innocent folks will get banned for this but who knows Im just telling a story and trying to validate it to this post

Why does this bother people so much? A /tell for Gil sites or FC shouts don't bug me whatsoever lol. If your going to AFK/shout watch in pj the rmt shouts are no different then any other shout you don't need, might as well just ignore them like all the other shouts.
I just think players get over hyped over FC shouts and mercanary shouts.
SE itself has little dirrection. They take the enjoyment out of the game. When they nerfed blinkers, I lost track how many Misery Coast Crour parties I made and people mostly enjoyed. As they had pullers, teamwork on kill order, and even occasional NM's pulled or popped for +1 +2 items. All done while not breaking a chain. It was a type of old school party. I do know people who would FC for gil, and again I have np with it. Personaly that is to boreing for me to do so I won't. How on earth can SE gripe about FC or the crour parties I explained above, yet they threw "MANY" people in jail during the SMN burn days in the tunnal of bastok. The people they threw in jail would ne solo people and susposivly interferieng with someone pulling whole zone. I know as I and a few others over time were thrown in jail with a warning. So they OK'ed this behavior, then get hissy over FC? And they don't add other type of an event like dynamics where you can just make millions of gil hideing in a coner solo. hence not even multi player what a crour partyw ould be. Can't se forget about RTM'ers? I mean they are far behind on new two hours. Key words for all blu and other spells never added, among manyt other things they could use time more wisely. Threy will always be here in one form or another. As long as I can do my thing I do not care.
