Cat's Eye From Gobbie Daily?

I have heard some speculation that it is possible to get a cat's eye from gobbie daily points, but before i get my hopes (and frustration levels) up I wanted to confirm here if it was possible or not

If it is possible, it has never been reported and was not seen as a reward during the brief time that it was possible to exploit the gobby thing.

I must have gotten extremely lucky because this was the first time I ever opened the box, and I've never gotten an HQ item again since.



Where did the idea that Cat's Eye could come fromt his even come from anyway?

Probably from the same rumor mill that produced the "Resolution being switched to a 3-hit WS with a 100% MND mod".

All jokes aside, and given the annoyance of mythics, I really can't blame people for being hopeful -- but the idea of cat's eye being a potential reward, no matter how rare, would be a ridiculous, and disproportionately valuable item to obtain from the "talk to an NPC" event.

I have to wonder if they even remember that item exists still. It's like timeless hourglasses, it exists only in the game files and is forever forgotten. It wasn't even one of the prizes in that last lottery thing they did.

I wonder why they would create a brand new item just for a one time only bonanza. I guess giving away a ton of stacks of alexandrites would have been too much, but they could have just made it a KI.

Well, at the time they probably didn't know that they would eventually have to cancel all future bonanzas due to some dumb gambling laws across the world. There's lots of items in the game that arn't actually obtainable anymore, not like it's hard for them to just add another item ID.

I still wish they'd add some 100-pieces for alexandrite. I'm still a bit baffled why they force you to have to trade them in as you get them.

I'd like to think that they realized just how ridiculous giving away 450M as a rank 2 prize was. The gil value of the rank 1 prize at the bonanza it was a part of was only ~99M as well.

The eye was rare/ex, and couldn't be sold ofc - but still just pretty whacky that they ever introduced it.
