Its a waste cause he will end up with 1.25GB with the other one.
Nothing wrong with a hybrid drive, but I don't see the point since, he would have a large secondary drive anyway. Also Hybrids are slower in general use than a real SSD.
The higher resolution can actually cause your frame rates to drop. You wont notice the difference in image, but will notice the slow downs.

none of what you just said here makes any sense, especially since I wasn't talking of using a hybrid drive...
you insisted that the laptop with the dual drives is a waste because he's taking one out.
and it can if you have a shitty video card, or a larger screen, hence why I recommend a 15.6" with a 1920x1080 resolution over the 1600x900 17.3

The Dual Harddrive Support I caught :P even notice that when I read it on newegg.
And you made a valid point of installing an SSD.
My curiosity though is can you just move the current windows files from the prestock hardrive to the new SSD.
Probably voids warranty if you do *shrugs*
My only confusion at first was the difference between the optical drives haha
Yea external harddrive im not concern with nor need since i have 500GB external (won at a contest) that i rarely even use i use my 16GB more and i still have 11GB free on that lol

You'd want to do a fresh install, I can hook you up with a disk that you can just use your serial # on, and install the drivers manually instead of installing them with all that preloaded crapware.
Most companies don't put a "warranty sticker" on the hdd bay anymore, so you shouldn't have to worry about it, just don't tell them.
I just ordered me a 3.0GB ssd for my laptop (it was cheaper than the 6.0 and my laptop is sata2 anyway...)
I'm going to see where I want to go eat dinner tonight then I'll hop back on newegg, sorry it was a busy day yesterday for me.
