FFXIII: Lightning Returns
Battle system seemed a lil meh in demo, do they let u upgrade commands or customize them at all? I did 5 star the boss in 1:21 with BLM DRG RDM schema and frost potion
The only way I'll play 13 is if it looks like that lol
anyone played JP version or know much about the full version? i skimmed somewhere that the game has a cap of 24hrs to beat or game over, which kinda seems like bs since i usually put 150hrs+ of work into 13/13-2 doin sidequests and stuff grinding etc, how can u relax and enjoy anything w/ a time limit? or is there ways to farm time indefinatly? basically i like to aim for 100% w/e i do something so the time cap has me kinda goin like wtf?
Wonder how much SE would make if they released those versions of FFXIII for like $5 a buy on Steam/XBL/PSN. I mean, between people who loved those games who would buy it for a Final Fantasy game like the old days, people who missed out on the first/second game who have interest in it, and then the Final Fantasy freaks(like me) who gotta play em all and would do it for the experience/different viewpoint on the game.
I think what they are going for is that rather than do everything in a single giant play through you do multiple smaller play throughs to find everything... Although I'm sure in a couple weeks there will be a 100% speed run floating around. I have mixed feelings about it but I kinda like the idea of being pushed. One thing that kinda made it hard for me to take 7 seriously is at one point they tell you meteor will hit in 2 weeks or something... Then a week worth of events happen. Then you end up all "Lets go breed and raise chocobos" which either should work out to years or chocobos just have a freakishly short gestation period and growth time.
Idk I know it's fantasy and all but I like when things make at least a little sense. In short, you have to do quests and collect "eradia" to give it to a tree or something to extend how much time the world has left. When you run out of time, the world gets destroyed and you have to start a new game + apparently lol There's this though: Quote: Chronostasis: This EP ability freezes the game clock for 75 seconds of real-time, corresponding to 30 in-game minutes. Therefore, if you can regain 2 EP every in-game hour, you will theoretically be able to chain Chronostasis infinitely. http://www.primagames.com/games/lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii/piggyback_strategy/time-management-lightning-returns-final-fantasy-xiii Further more, if you check out SplitPlaythru on youtube, his channel has the full JP walkthrough and he's currently uploading the english walkthough for anyone interested (although his english walkthrough has omitted a lot of the side quests and he's doing it purely for the story I think). so every 74s i gotta use this crap? -.- this game gonna suck soley bc of the time limit, i like exploring/grinding/farming stuff
I was thinking more that while you do the quests, you get a stock of it, then you turn it in all at once at the tree and it freezes it for a total time. So basically you could do all of your exploring & questing, stock up on the EP, then when you get to the tree you could throw something like, say, 100 at it and you would get about 2 hours off it.
Eagerly awaiting my collector's edition!!! You guys won't see me for like 2-3 weeks xD
Just to confirm, as long as I play/download the demo and submit my battle score for the boss in the demo, I should get the Utsusemi Garb and the Siegfried outfit, right? Not to mention the Cloud one for pre-ordering and the Aeris one for collector's edition. seigfried? i only seen saw utsu garb
i cant wait for it lol. i liked the battle alot better then 13 and the changing job thing is cool but i dunno if ill like the forcing me to do things within a time frame cuz eventully youll see the samne few scenes over and over in the beginning
but i liked the demo so well see Asura.Natenn said: » Battle system seemed a lil meh in demo, do they let u upgrade commands or customize them at all? Siegfried for uploading your battle score on the boss. You actually get them when the game is released. Asura.Natenn said: » No, you don't get any notifications. When the get hits though, and you pop it in, you should be able to grab it then. For Utsusemi, if you check your download history, it came with the demo. Info: Clicky Extra info! If you have a save for FF13, you get Lightning's Guardian Corp Outfit. If you have a save for FFXIII-2, you get Lightning's Knight of Etro outfit. Dont know how to get the FF14 Mi'qote Dress yet. Heartseeker Outfit is modeled after Locke Cole from FFVI! Splendid Admiral is modeled after Faris, from FFV! Haven't received my Aeris yet (game not to me yet xD) CANT WAIT ANY LONGER ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH I totally forgot I preordered this.
So.... Apparently ordering my collectors edition and FFX HD from the SE store at the same time was a bad idea. They're apparently going to wait til 3-18 to ship my order and I can't cancel now. >.>

I ordered Before Meteor and After Meteor together and now Before won't ship till After is released. Is it from the collector's edition only or can you get it from somewhere else?
Dantedmc said: » So how do you get the Aerith code? Is it from the collector's edition only or can you get it from somewhere else? Collector's Edition, pre-ordering from the Square-Enix online store is the only way to get it. Odds are you will be a DLC after a while the same as they did with XIII-2.
Do the DLC costumes unlock new jobs, like Yuna = Summoner, or are they just optical candy being worthless?
