just wondering in any EU players are finding it hard to get a linkshell on Bismarck who kill ADL/Provence/etc seems all the bigger shells here seem to be EST... seeing how much interest there is for a EU based shell since i know 1 is trying to branch out to EU based players but wants to see how many are interested, post if you have had trouble or are interested yourself since this seems to be a decent sized server with very little on offer for the EU players.

Hi Mahley,

I am EU been back for just over a month and not seen any sign of a good EU shell. I play solo a lot or just listen out for shouts and sometimes hangout with my good friend Pimpez!.

I find at weekends it is mainly JP around EU time and there are only EST linkshells that play late in the evenings when I am tucked up in bed asleep. I am interested in an honest EU shell on Bismarck.

Me and my GF are both EU, we have the same issue on Quetz, our old LS broke while we were on a break and now the only things we do are dyna, abyssea and random shouts. we would be willing to server jump if we could find a shell that done legion, or any of the current or upcoming V2 content, as long as the shell in question isnt run like an old school HNM ls, been playing to long to cater to greedy leaders anymore, also as we both work we wouldnt be able to make every event every night.

for now im doubting legion (sorry) needs more ppl than im seeing posting same for the V2 stuff, im guessing it will take a little time even with ppl coming in to sort out bigger events so it might start out a little slow since you cant jump on V2 stuff with 8-10 but im liking the interest so far since if all these ppl came and got involved we would already have 8 ppl and its been an active thread less than a day, ill keep thread going abit longer see who else posts then take some action based on that but im happily surprised and there seems like a big market for EU shells

To give a bit of background information, our linkshell (EQ) is a really old linkshell (started on seraph, merged into bismarck). We are predominately a EST linkshell, however our linkshell does have a few EU players in it, as well as several players who just play alot. So recently we have been discussing if we wanted to try to expand the linkshell to have some more EU members in it, to compliment our current members and overall make the game a bit more fun and enjoyable while providing them with more to do in the game. I also think with the new expansion coming that it would just liven up the linkshell having more people, getting to meet new people, and which could lead to exciting times.

From what I have gathered, theres not much in terms of EU linkshells on Bismarck, I assume mainly because the EU player base is probably fairly small. So our linkshell has been discussing possibly expanding the linkshell to have kinda like a EU division (or at least players who play at that time), with the current members who play now. Overall though, we dont really know if theres enough interest for EU members or enough people to make it a viable option.

I assume that if, making a EU linkshell was easy, that it would already be done, but I guess maybe my hope is that it could turn into a real option, if there is enough interest and maybe with the help of server transfers and whatnot.

I think if we decide to go ahead with the idea, providing enough interest, that people would have to realize that it is a bit of a work in progress and that it may take a good amount of time to build up numbers (it very well could come together fast too, who knows)to do some of the harder stuff in-game. For the short term I would kinda see people working on voidwatch or abyssea during the week until numbers improve or possibly making smaller groups for things such as Neo Nyzul. Which is perhaps not what people are looking for, because realistically you dont need a linkshell to do abyssea/voidwatch/neo nyzul, however I think the game is more fun playing with people than 2boxing something with your whitemage mule. But I guess what I would envision is that we could do some harder things such as ADL, Prov, VW etc on weekends since we would have more members on at EU friendly times and our linkshell does not really have any issues doing those events at our regular times. And that over time as numbers improve, maybe could start to do more and exciting things during the week for the people who play at those times.

If anyone has questions about the linkshell or questions about possibly expanding the linkshell to handle more EU events, please feel free to send me a pm on here or you can also befriend me on guildwork and talk to me on there. If there is enough interest, I will ask Gaspee (recruiting officer) to make an official post and see if can get a few more people in to start doing events. However in the meantime, it would be nice to see if there is enough interest so please respond to the post or send me pm's, talk to me on guildwork if you are interested.

Thanks,

Zub

Like i say if theres a demand.. i "could" be tempted back. but thats not guaranteed. IF its regular (more regular than i get now) with wanten progression then Gladly im good to go and i dont mean progression just for me!

I believe in if u help u will get help.

Ive moved servers a couple of times and lived off false promises :( so if i was to move it'd be after seeing success in the EU times. not saying see the LS succeed as i have no doubts based on the age.. just I have issues with being English! (ha)

Yes! Try EQ!

We'd definitely love to strengthen the EU contingent of our LS or, at the very least, give it a shot! If anyone is interested, or have any questions, please send me a PM.

If you are interested and wish to apply, you can do so here!

Spinkles?? I don't recognise the name! Who be you? (sorry if I offend!)

@Zubuis thanks for the explanation about the linkshell! Sounds like a really solid LS. Since I work during the day and sometimes have commitments to social stuff. I have to hope you guys aren't strict on being at events full time. It would be really great to hang around EU people again as it does get lonely in game :(

Hi, I was wondering if there had been any news on an EU Ls?
I've recently returned to the game so no longer have an end game ls, I know a few EU players, but would be interested in an EU Ls as I'm sure they would be too, has one been made or did ppl join EQ?

Hey guys!

Shame you all on a different server. I'm working on re-modell our LS website and fixing this doen until 2013 then our EU LS will kick off full time. Atm we are 5 with 2 WHM mules on side. We are looking into doing Legion, Voidwatch Neo Nyzle and a few more not quiet yet decided! But we are basic all rookies when it comes down to the new events, but old players in FFXI who loves to have some fun and help others and ourself! But again different servers, but tought I might get some interested now when seeing alot of peeps want an WEU based LS! :)

Sorry for the little troll, have a good dag folks!
