I've never really bothered looking into Moghancements much, but now I intend on crafting a bit more "seriously", I'm thinking about trying to get the best chance to HQ I can.

Is there a way I can be guarenteed to get "Moghancement: Bonecraft" when I'm 100? What exactly does Elemental Strength's do?

If I wanted "Moghancement: Bonecraft" or "Moglification: Bonecraft" and I have both of the items in my MH, do I just pile on as much Dark element furniture as I can until it has "Overwhelming Energy"?

Elemental strength Helps the energy in your room, helps with not breaking syths, and when you do break, with not losing the items.
If I understand this correctly the item that you put in your mog house is Dark elemental, then you would have to make sure that no matter what is in the mog house, that your dark element goes up, and stays the strongest out of any element- but that no furnishings go OVER what the +3 item is at, Or that will be your moghancement. I.e you put a shell lamp, Star globe or Royal bed in your mog house.. The first two you MAY not get bonecraft and get a different one. The Royal bed, you wont get Bonecraft for sure. The sign has to have the most Dark element to take over and you need the energy to push it over whatever other energy is in your house.

http://wiki.ffxiclopedia.org/wiki/Furnishings go to the Elemental part and click it til it separates which elements belong to what. And stack up on dark if you want that bonecraft :)

Awesome, I found a Moghancement calculator too that I spent a bit of time playing around with. (Here it is for anyone interested XD)

After re-re-re-re-reading over wiki, for like the billionth time today and playing with that calculator, I think I've got a slightly better understanding of it XD

At the moment, I'm planning the following for in my MH:

Red 9-Drawer Almirah x4
Shell Lamp x3
Star Globe x5
Boneworker's Signboard x1
Drogaroga's Fang x1
Green Bamboo Grass x1
Blue Bamboo Grass x1
Red Bamboo Grass x1

That should give me something like this (according to the calculator anyway XD):

Elemental Power Level: Overwhelming Dark energy
Dark (108)
Fire (36)
Dominating Moghancement: Bonecraft Skill
Storage Size: 80
Mog Safe space used: 17

You can only get 1 moghancement take effect at a time. You get the mogenchancement of whatever furniture has the highest of whatever element is the highest. So basically just find whatever is getting which for cooking is wind. First you need get wind your highest without having any peice have higher str then 8 or 9 if you got the moglification.

The easy way to figure out what Mog Enhancement you'll have will be to do a quick sum of all the elements in your Mog House.
see: My Mog
Earth : 103
Light : 24
Wind : 10
Fire : 18

Storage : 172

Strongest Element is Earth at Overwhelming (100+), after that you look at individual strengths
10: Carpenter's Signboard
9: Drawing Desk
8: Maple Table
6: Gallipot

Strongest item: Carpenter's Signboard

Therefore my Mog Enhancement is Moglification: Woodworking (since i have both Signboard & Desk)

More or less, yes. Just ensure that no furnishing you add has 8 or more strength and you'll get the cooking moghancement.

Actually it is possible to have Moghancement: "Craft" + ALL Elemental loss reduction

To get this you must aquire both of the Guild Point Furnitures, 1 being the +1 skill the other being your crafts signboard. together they will give you
Moglification: "Craft"

The down side to getting this is the 350,000 Point price tag. (150k for +1skill and 200k for the signboard)

Forgot to mention something important about moghancement craft and moglification craft. A moghouse that has the +1 skill item & the signboard will get Moglification: "craft" and will have an aura strength of 19 or "weak" when talking to the moogle. However with Moglification the strength of the Aura has absolutely nothing to do with the effectiveness of the traits being as moglification is a maxed trait.

The only rime the Aura strength matters is when it is a Moghancement. Except for Moghancement: skill. For example adding only the Emeralda to your moghouse will give you an aura strenght of 9(weak) on Moghancement: Alchemy and gives you +1 alchemy skill. Now if you stacked another 91 Aura points of items you would have a 100 Aura strength(overwhelming) and you would still have Moghancement: Alchemy resulting in +1 alchemy skill.

With this info in hand you can proceed to place anything else you want in moghouse to max out your storage.

Oh 1 last thing Moglification does not give the Moghancement: Desynth trait BUT it will give you Moghancement: Lightning. Getting Moghancement: Desynth would be the only reason to attain a 100+ Aura build and make sure you unequip the 2 craft furnitures for desynth build.

I have The Mastersmiths Anvil + Blacksmiths Signboard + a 101 Aura of Lightning that gives Moghancement: Desynth. I keep all items equipped as the anvil + signboard have highest Aura i get the moglification, But when i want to Desynth all i have to do is Un-Equip anvil and signboard and Bam ready to go.

Hope this info helps you in your crafting.

Necrobump, blah blah

With the new additions of New Guild items and all I've been reading that the skill gained from Mega-Moglification increases your skill beyond +1. But just how far beyond does it push your skill? I hear that 110 skill be obtained in Leathercraft to break tier1 on Dusk Gloves but how does a crafter get to 110? I know with the apron and gloves you get +2, With the 150k Guild item you get another +1, With the signboard you just get better protection from breaks and Adv. Support is 3. That's 106, where is the other +4 coming from exactly?

I'm a WW so I know that 106 was obtainable with all the past items. Do the Carpenter's Kit and Stall add +2 each? Also do the Chocobo Carvings add any skill or are those just fun furnishings?

Absolutely Not.
Bonecrafting uses primary elements of Wind and Earth. with a good dollap of Lightning for Desynthesis. ( you would not want furniture of a Dark element, what would you use a dark crystal for in bonecrafting.)
Step 1 pick several of these to get to 80 storage quickly as they will strengthen the crystal energys in the moghouse. (you want the crystal you use the most to be the strong element. there are no dark crystal recipes in bonecrafting so using that crystal makes no sense other then getting a skill pt from a guild signboard which you get by putting it in the layout and overwhelming it with wind or earth.)

Recommended :
Green 9-Drawer Almirah *several of these usually these are common. wind element.
Yellow 9-Drawer Almirah * several of these very common. earth element
Spence * a couple of these if available and not pricey. ( some servers these are expensive as they are useful in desynthesis.
(get to max storage with these 3 main items and throw in some social event furnitures for fun and don't do panterines either.thats a dark element that will kill most of your layout strength in any element besides dark. (you don't use dark crystals in bonecrafting. it will not help synthesis of anything except yago drinks and tanning in leathercrafting.)

8 flower pots. - for crystal growing or arcane flowerpot for trees if you like that sort of thing.

see mmoorganizer.net or wiki for more info on mog house furnitures.
