I Cant Find My Rom Files

i got ffxi from direct2drive which isnt there anymore and can not find my rom files anywhere can someone help?

Normal file location is:

64bit:
C:\Program Files (x86)\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI

32 bit:
C:\Program Files\PlayOnline\SquareEnix\FINAL FANTASY XI

If it isn't in one of those two spots, then you may try doing a search on your hard drive for a file which might disclose the location. An example of a file in that directory would be "arw_e.ani" which is one of the cursor files.

IIRC steam also puts stuff in a weird location.

i found the FFXI folder but there was no roms in it which was really wired

weird* and it says that "arw_e.ani" isnt on my computer

I'm assuming your game doesn't work?

I want to assume at this point it's possible that direct to drive does a different type of installation where those files are compressed possibly? I have no idea and am pretty confused as to how the game would work otherwise.

im on it right now talking with people in my ls lol they must of compressed them cause calnus can verify i am on lol

Just for my own curiosity, where did they bury it?

in my programs list i had to click on pol then go into the ffxi part of it then i had to right click ffxi and click show in file location then i found them it was just stupid

the folder was a square enix folder but idk why ik couldnt search it in my computer it would show it at all
