Heres a video of a JP LS beating down the newer version of ifrit for the relic quest.

I guess the key to the fight is breaking his horns, makes it so there is a safe spot when plumes pop. You still have to deal with an *** load of Nails though, and of course jump resetting hate.

Maybe. Who knows if they are trying to break the horns are not. It could just be since Spiritis Within is a frontal incap weaponskill, and a PLD usually spams it.

Sure for the normal version.

If you don't break the horns in extreme, this happens.

This is from people who beat it, so its correct.

Breaking the horns makes plumes create a safe spot like the normal fight, if you don't break them the entire arena is a plume basically.

It's almost impossible for a PLD or WAR to incap the horns by themself in hard mode so I doubt it's easier here.

I wouldn't discount PLD that much. Spirits Within does a good amount of damage. As does Riot Blade in the combo, but I'm not sure if that incaps special front. Also, it appears he randomly grows his horns back

Fists of the wind is a monk ability. It increases movement speed.

It's exciting to watch that video, can't wait! In my mind, I could imagine myself shouting in vent during that last smidgeon of Ifrit's hitpoints XD
