PS2 emulator
I know the issue with PS2 emulators back then couldn't run PS2 ISOs because PCs where to weak and I haven't researched it foe a while and not sure where to start. Is the a current PS2 emulator that can run PS2 ISOs now? I have a decent PC so it should be powerful enough.

Can pretty much run 90% if not more ps2 games as long as your pc can handle it. Some games have slight glitches or slow downs in certain parts, but I've yet to play a game that doesn't work yet. http://pcsx2.net/compatibility-list.html is their list of games that work, semi-function, and don't work yet. You need to download the ps2bios elsewhere though. (It's called scph39001.bin, google it, easy to find) Cool, thanks for the info. Want to play a few RPGs on it.
Will that emulator require a graghics or sound plugins?
I've personally used no plugins but the default, except for a gamepad plugin because for some reason the default one couldn't read my controller's analog. If its rpgs you're going to play, besides some minor slow downs in some (like during cg scenes) and random tiny graphic glitches, I've not played an rpg yet that has not been playable.
I'd assume no Bios in the installer. Any chance I could have them PM'd to me?
Had on my old computer but it failed at running the games. Want to see if this one can handle it Sylph.Tigerwoods said: » I'd assume no Bios in the installer. Any chance I could have them PM'd to me? Want to give it a test run without having to download a game
You can use the PS2 disc for the emulator. They work better then ISOs in my opinion anyway. FFX works very damn good with disc.
Hopefully I won't have any issues, but I can run xiv, so I don't think it should be an issue
My GT220 can hold it's ground on FFXIV on very low settings. For FFX it works w/o much lag issues except some certain parts of the game. But 85% of it is no lag and the cinematics work great.
Don't

Don't run the disc itself, it's not nearly as good, because of the read speed will never be as quick as an ISO. But for testing, you can use the ps2 disc itself, I believe you need a plugin for that though. Asura.Daisuki said: » Don't Siren.Novadragon said: » You can use the PS2 disc for the emulator. Used the disc and performed alot better. I don't know why but it honestly did. could you use a ps2 emultor to play ffxi? lol
