I think OP forgot to fill this out
In OP defense, he merely stated what had happened, I did not take it as him complaining or being butt hurt.. no need to start ***.
Thanks at least someone actually read the post. I use FC a lot. I'm lazy and I work long hours. I don't mind them but apparently people farming mandy's did.
Trying to be nice and warn people that you can lose your gil in the small chance the RMT get banned during your leeching time. I used about 150-200 keys and didn't even start earning exp per kill yet. That's my only gripe :P

rmt always were bad for players and economy, i remember their abusive perma-claim on oztroja NMs and making a ton of gil, after that came sky with their botting on triggers there, the fish stage where u could see batallia or anywhere really filled with 30 mules fishing and flooding the market (thus screwing the regular fishers), from NPCing stuff like remedies where they monopolized the ingredients for a very very long time just to make easy gil.
I think they found the FC business after they found the blinker business, maybe 1 of em thought "what if we sell this service duh?" and here they are, selling leech slots @80-100k/h for 40-50k exp/hour, i personally dont have a problem with this since i keyed on some of their parties while playing PSP or watching movies (since they give so much room to do stuff semi-afk lol) but i see the point of ppl calling em monopolizers.
In all fairness, they always have mules and the cleaver with the NM pop item in bazaar for 1 gil lol (im talking about misa penguins).
It's weird i didnt see em selling empyrean weapons services or +2 stuff, guess the "hard" work isnt for em.

Actually the RMTs have a negative effect on the whole playerbase.
But they have been around so long that unless they directly compete with you, the negative effects on the whole game aren't noticed.

RMTs are @ssholes and should be burned at the stake.

monopolizing all the monsters in a given area
lol, even the fastest cleavers in the world can't out pull someone that really wants a mandragora or w/e...and if you really want it, just go take a mob off of the cleavers pull, you think people that are knowingly breaking the ToS are going to GM you for taking a few mobs, when you can just use the "they're monopolizing all the mobs in the area" excuse?

Not to mention as long as you're not overtly like "LOL I TROLL/GRIEF YOU", taking yellow mobs is entirely 100% legal in game terms.

Most people don't realize this because it's not like the old days anymore when you obviously saw 10-15 people, all Rank 1 /anon camping Amemet or Serket. If it wasn't for RMT, all the tedious repeating jobs that no one really likes to do would all skyrocket in price. I'm looking at some of the crafts that require thousands of synths to make mediocre profits. I still come across people that look like RMT farming logs, harvesting outside Windy, and supplying the AH with silk. I love those guys because I hate doing it! I've seen some fishbots again fishing black sole recently too. Most non-RMT fishers are just botting Hak's now so the price of other fish would go way up if it wasn't for them.
A lot of the VW Cells on the AH now are supplied by these same RMT who FC all day and then buy cells with cruor. I buy cells because I'm always out of cruor and I need more logs and insect wings from VW.

I may just be weird but I've met some RMT that I've actually liked and became friends with. In the end, they still are people who are trying to earn a living in a less than favorable place in the world. When you're competing against RMT Cleavers for mandies, (to skill up or what not) whether they are a douche or not will change your experience of competition with them. This could be just the same with any other cleaver. If they're not willing to share, they're not. It has little to do with whether they're RMT or not.
And, as far as I can see, this is a move against FCers in general, not just RMT. So "removing the RMT cleavers" and allowing "legit" cleavers to have a profitable business is a pretty null topic to discuss since I doubt the GMs are/can differentiate between the two.

Seeing that they're a new names shouting for these FC parties every other week, i'd say this happens often. RMTs just make another account and continue what they were doing before :/
And Kut(cut) should be ashamed of himself

Rmt really aren't affecting anything negatively anymore. There's way too much gil generated by the playerbase via cruor and hakuryu and really no gilsinks. RMT are mostly just redistributing the economic mess we've already made. I guess they're also probably making cruor, but on average RMT parties make less than 50k cruor/hour so it's nothing compared to a legit player cruor party.

People skill-up on Mandies because they're MNK monsters. MNK monsters have inherently lower damage capabilities and high HP. This means that you will spend less time healing yourself (thus, skilling up more), and you will spend less time aggregating monsters (thus, skilling up more). Throwing around the lern 2 ff statement is so passé; learn some humility and ascertain the validity of your demeanor before deciding to fallace-flex on grounds that you have no business doing so upon.
maybe he meant there are better places to skillup than abyssea? /shrug

Although your points are valid, the care bear FfXIAH charm school attitude is pretty grating and really comes off as condescending if not moreso than the people you're criticizing.

I just want SE or someone at windower to come up with a way to make them shutup in Jeuno. I'm sick of having to constantly /blist a new set of them every few days. And it's not just because they are FC's I hate when anyone constantly spams the same shouts in Jeuno day in and day out, I've blisted some bazaar shouts and a few alexandrite shouters.
The one time I was trying to skillup eva in altepa I did have one of the *** diaga steal a bunch of mandys from me while I was rounding them up, so they are less than innocuous.

Mandies are great for skillups because you can mitigate most of their damage with Phalanx. Also because they attack so quickly, they are ideal for defensive skillups and skilling up on WAR.

Dunno mob monopoly sounds like BS reason. When I used to run whisker leech groups leaders would put pop items in bazaar for 1 gil. Seen this done by some of the "RMT" FC groups too so I don't see where the monopoly is also doesn't account for yellow = free to claim logic.

Honestly, I could give two shakes on Fell cleave parties. In fact i would much rather have them out there cleaving and actually contributing something to other players. In fact for the price of a cleave party I would bet you can damn near break even or quite possibly come out ahead from curor given.
Of course, I immage most people who have used these services, my self included, would rather give our gil to a regular player trying to earn some gil. But there just isnt anyone running a reliable service like this that I know of.
I can just see now with the changes in gear drops to tags from voidwatch I immagine there will be a ton of RMT spamming voidwatch and selling tags in Bazzars.
RMT'rs are like a hydra. Cut off one head and two grow back in its place. And lets be honest it is in no way as annoining as they were back in the day taking all our campled NM's and flooding the AH with items.
Who the hell needs to buy gil now days anyway???

Aggressive Mandies also exist in Attohwa and no one cleaves those at least never saw/joined shouts there. This is true but those Attohwa mandies are lower level so they're not quite as useful if you're near cap. They're not as easy to gather up either due to miasma.

The number 1 account on FFXIAH made his gil FCing for months on end. Always seemed like a viable way to make gil or level jobs.

I know the groups Bekisa is making reference to. They got banned regularily, it was always a different varient of the same name shouting every single day. Called them out once, we had a bidding war between two FC groups, prices went from 900k/10 hours to 500k/10 hours, and the shout said "Fighting right now!" ....so I /yell'd "Do you intend to refund the 400k gil to each leecher in your group so you don't rip them off?" ....and the price went back up to 900k. xD

The problem is that there are FCers who are struggling to compete with the prices that the RMTs propose. The other problem is that the services offered by the RMTs are so incredibly lackluster and leaving much to be demanded. The phrase, " You get what you pay for," comes to mind; just because the RMTs typically charge less, does not mean that what they're providing is worth spending Gil on (I said before that I've had friends who have taken a chance on RMT FCs, and they were sorely, sorely disappointed with how it turned out). I always make my gil back, so how is that lackluster? They basically give us the gil to keep paying them.

If you are satisfied with the levels you got then the service was worth it, if not, then its lackluster.

If you are satisfied with the levels you got then the service was worth it, if not, then its lackluster. Levels isn't an issue as long as I break even on the gil. There's this thing called being AFK that makes how long it takes irrelevant.
Most likely good news and time to rejoice for those people who hate FC leech parties and a warning to anyone who partakes in the obvious RMT FC experience points parties. GM's are starting to crack down on them due to people complaining they are monopolizing all the monsters in a given area. If you want to get rid of them, apparently this is how you do it and not by claiming you think they are RMT.
In last than a day two out of the three of Bahamut's normal FC groups have vanished. Last night they were looking for a 'keyer' so I took up the offer to help get my whm mule's blm up higher for procs when I two box. About 45 minutes into my time in the group, the WAR and RDM in Altep both vanished (no d/c symbol) and the taru taking gil in Jeuno did as well.
They showed in our alliance list for nearly an hour but we could not send them a /tell directly (said "player is offline"). A few of the people who just recently paid were there and waited around for about an hour but the rest of the others were all afk obviously. Three people paid 800k and got less than an hour, one person got about 5 hours. The rest afk. I wasted a bunch of keys and only got about 4 levels on my mule :P
A few of the paying players called a GM to report a possible trade scam. GM said in /say at Altep they were investigating the issue that our group is monopolizing all the monsters and preventing others from spawning the NM there.
After about 2 hours, of random afk my time came close to dropping below 120 minutes left so I warped. This morning I logged on to find a completely new set of FC'ers shouting, a new WAR (with pretty gimp gear this time), and they are claiming "Connection Lost Yesterday". Now it's a shit storm in /shouts and /yell that they don't offer refunds for last night because they aren't the same people. Some say GM's have refunded their money, some say they haven't got a reply.
