Sorry for anyone that doesn't care but you guys don't know what it's like being an Aussie and having barely anyone to play with in your timezone. Also, I know that a few people have been watching this thread and I have continually stated that people would be welcome on Odin in our Linkshell once it's open again, which it is come March.

If anyone is curious about what we do as a linkshell feel free to send me a message on here, we've been established for about 3 years now and currently put our hand in everything bar HNM's, Einherjar and Dynamis but I can recommend a number of shells for each. An influx of members would probably see us *** what types of events people are looking for and the linkshell would change around that but our main priority is just having a place for English speaking Aussie timed players to play together and have some fun.

As I said, if you have any questions just send me a message on here. We may not be what you're looking for so don't just jump to Odin with expectations but if you do you're still welcome.

Cheers

I was looking at this thread the other day, wondering what eventually happened with the LS. whether it had broken up or what.

Considering the LS was in Garuda, and they're merging into Lakshmi, I wont be complaining if some are still around that's for sure :3

I heard from a few people that the leader got his ***and broke the shell...

Not sure if its true or not.. I tried to contact him a few months back to ask how the shell was going and got no response. After PMing a few people listed in the LS on ffxiah, i heard the shell was gone.

Coming from Unicorn where all the aussies were very close and stuck together, i was pretty surprised that one of our own would be such a scum..

Apparently, the linkshell ended up falling over. Some of its members ended up migrating to Leviathan to join our social/events linkshell :>

Still kind of sad that a small player base such as AU has to suffer through server segregation.

Endgame activity for AU players on Odin sounds rocking but we've been established on Leviathan for waaaay too long to migrate (5 years+!)

Why, how many Aussies are there on Levi? and how many on Odin?

That sort of thing is hard to quantify as an entire server.

There's at least 10 to 12 active AU/NZ players in my LS at the moment.

Looking at our points there’s 12 active Aussies/Kiwi’s doing end game events. On top of that are another 20 active members from places like Singapore, Japan and late night Americans/Canadians-aye. While we run end game events for Sky, Sea, Limbus, ZNM, KS99, Pop NM’s and other random stuff people need, there’s not actually any requirements to participate, just that we think it’s more fun doing that stuff so those that want to come will come. Right now we have 3 Aussies that have just come back to the game and are levelling their first jobs and haven’t even done a genkei yet. It’s just that a priority we’ve always has is to give English speaking players in our time zone a home that doesn’t require waking up at 4 in the morning to do events for that I’m sure so many of us have had to put up with in the past.

A lot of what I’m doing now, posting on here, is to get fresh blood into the shell. A lot of our long term members have all the gear they want and items are just going free lot but I want to see those items go to people. And as is the nature of things, people move on or attendance drops but since we’ve been closed there’s been no one to fill those shoes. I’ve got messages from people saying they want to come over. If that’s the most amount of people I bring over then at least I’ve achieved that much and given some people a place they can call home.

The only problem is that Karu smells.

Now, you may be thinking;
"But it's a computer game, I wont be able to smell him"
Sadly that isn't the case, his stink is so great that it will filter over the internets and fill your entire room. Not even Conroy could stop him.

It's true.

(Also, we're not the most serious of shells)
