well let me say this before i begin
i am more or less 4rth-5th in line to be leader of the linkshell i am in if the leaders cant get on seeing as i have been there so long and + i believe the leaders trust me to try to keep going what they gave birth 2

anyway so i have had to do just that take over being leader but it is temp and i want to say that now, when the leaders come back i will step down no matter what. i all ready helped them run dyna runs anyway when they played all the time.

anyway that brings me to my question we are lacking members and i would really like to do dyna/sky if i can 1 week on 1 week off in this wheel.

but i cant seem to get people to stay on for more then dyna the die hard members are sticking with me no matter what and for any of them on my server that sees this thank u so much for trusting me with trying to keep what the leaders made running and working.

but can the people on this forum please share some tips with me to get more members, how do i make events run a bit more smoothly.

things like that i am open for ideas and discussion(all is welcome and grateful, about this topic.

The problem I see from your post is the events. Dyna, sky, sea, are all solo or lowmanable now and are not in demand. The endgame shells now are made for legion and VW, maybe a few abyssea shells to make empys. I'd just have fun with what you have and go from there. I solo or duo box most old endgame content, send me a /tell if you need any advice/ help.

Do seals run, Empy, currency runs, DL , VW, etc. You will attract more people. Take a note of what plp need or want. And the times they can play.

I haven't had a ls for anything more than a social since 75 for hnms. Don't push to hard unless you're doing VW or legion (which with your previous posts I highly doubt). No one needs a linkshell since everything can be done with 2 people like has been said.

The only event that needs a event LS is really just legion, VW is just too PUG friendly.

Here's a really simple one... Level your damn jobs so you are useful for events. I will not be attending any more events with the LS until you are leveled. A few others during dyna have voiced the same concern. It is kind of hard for you to lead a linkshell when cannot truly add in value to the events.

When our scientists discover the center of the universe, there will be alot of people that will be disappointed that they are not it.
Rarely a day passes as a member of Core that I am not humbled by many of them. I have three precious things which I hold fast and dear. The first is gentleness; the second frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle, and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can be a leader amongst men.
A great leader needs to respect people, and he/she needs to be comfortable with the world. They also need to be able to forgive themself and others. In other words, a leader needs grace. I don't like offending people, and it's easy to offend people when you don't know as much as they do. This group knows more about what it takes to lead (in this way) than I ever will. My goal is to push people, but I need to do it from a place of respect.
It is said that it is far more difficult to hold and maintain leadership than it is to attain it. "Success" is a ruthless competitor, for it flatters and nourishes our weaknesses and lulls us into complacency. We bask in the sunshine of accomplishment and lose the spirit of humility which helps us visualize all the factors which have contributed to our success. We are apt to forget that we only one of a team, that in unity there is strength and that we are strong only as long as each member functions with precision for the betterment of each other.
Many people believe that the opposite of humility is pride, when, in fact, it is a point of equilibrium. The opposite of pride is actually a lack of self-esteem. Pride is concerned with "who" is right ("Whoever uses Kirin's osode is stupid"). Humility is concerned with "what" is right ("there're 2 smn hand seals in the treasure pool for whoever needs em"). Recognizing the difference is key: Pride is revealed through comunication, whereas humility is revealed through action. Napoleon once said, "A good leader gives indisputable instruction; a great leader merely says, follow me."
Even if you're otherwise perfect, you fail without humility. None of us has ever gotten anything of merit without the sweat of others. Someone asked me today, in fact, "How're you able to have gotten so much of your +2 items?" My reply was simple, "By making sure that other's have gotten theirs as well." Modesty is a shining light, it prepares the mind to recieve knowledge, and the heart for truth. No candle ever lost it's light when lighting another candle...

No not at all nonsence, you ask your members what they want/need and plan events around that. I found the LS i was in most members didnt have floor 100 data for various resions so my wife and I set up Nyzule isle runs for every sunday and have gotten most of the LS floor 100 data now. At the same time, since a few members actually want captain rank to start a mythic, on wednesday we do 3 normal assult runs to supplememt promotions so those few are not getting ignored.

after reading this, this is what i am taking from it let me know if it should work or not.

i need a item from a sky god so if i get people to help me farm the god pop set or i get the set then i give them a free run to god do u think people would join then they can get things from it if they wanted.

also what is the best way to recruit people to join a linkshell anyway seeing as i think it would be fun to go back to sky and fight gods with friends.

Anymore than two people is overkill for every sky god. For some even two people is... Building a shell around that will never work.

I would advise you to level your jobs asap. A shell is only as good as its worst member since they will hold the rest back. When I led my shell and someone was holding us back to the extreme that you seem to be I would cut them harsh but true. I'm sorry but you want your shell to be serious then get serious yourself. :/

I have to agree, sky isnt going to work, we have 2-3 groups at a time doing assult and nyzule isle, thats why it works overall as a medium size ls event. Sky is meh... way to easy for a ls to get involved in. You may be able to make a weekend out of building and popping AV or PW as an ls event, just make sure you know what your doing going into it. Likewise if people are missing missions or Dyna wins you can do that for people on the side to keep them interested and loyal to the ls. Lastly, people with good personalities help, this isnt 5 years ago where people needed an LS to do things and put up with ***. If your LS has an *** kick them, no matter how good a player they are there pissing off other members they have to go.

u know something i do not want the people that know me from game or ls to read this and get mad but yes i understand both the fact that i need to led by example, also if someone is doing more bad then good i should kick them btw i if any thing would clear it with the true leaders before i kick anyone it is there call not mine.

u do not know how much i wish it was still the way it was when i joined that u did need a LS to get every thing done i feel the game is getting way to easy and in fact maybe someday will make linkshell fully not needed and i do not like to think about that.

but i will not give up as long as i play to hold what ever linkshell i call home together the best i can.The only thing is i wish the true leaders would come back so i could just be a back up leader for events and just help them out,it was easier, but granted i like the task of trying to help run the shell that i have here and now.

can i ask u i know this is a bit off topic but it plays in to me understanding the new endgame so i can run it with my linkshell.
my question is this
how do i unlock Voidwatcher and where do i begin like i know the beginning chain of dyna is the citys what is it for Voidwatcher.

Quote:

this is true and i have thought about that but i forgot how hard it is to b e a leader of a linkshell now i know why i gave up on making my linkshell years a go my own i mean.

voidwatch begins with city climbs too. Have to go to each city and talk to a voidwatch officer. You'll want to do that asap so you can start collecting stones.

Yea stonecount is uber important in voidwatch, and if your LS hasnt done any voidwatch at all i would say do T1 sandy, then T1-4 bastok, that gets them fanatics and instant Reraise temps.

and make sure they have their abyssites so they can get weakness hints.

Duz mentioned Aholes. Yes, most stuff can be low manned now.So if there is drama I would leave a LS and look for a few friends. If there is someone pissing in everyones pot. Kick them. Better to lose one member than many.

if you plan ls event. go through i with it. dont stop once you gotten your drop. don't make runs based around yourself but about the people in the ls.

i seen several LS leaders. aka event manager make sky runs and them suddenly stop when they got their drop.
Someone even put it in lsmes and removed the current plan for the day since she called it a ls event. did she ever run sky after she got her drop. no..

or ls leaders stopping assault static after 2 runs cause they wanna do neo nyzul instead ( planning ahead helps too) not even fixing a rep or asking rest of the static

Personaally i ran limbus several onths after i really got what i wanted form limbus. ( ultima atma for GF and coins for her brutal and boxer mantle) before i announced i would stop running limbus soon and change to salvage instead

Bassically if you cant keep it up its not a ls event but a personal run. know the difference
