Okay this is just kinda what the OP wanted and the response Camate gave, I think it's more than just buffs wearing off though.

[Suggestion] Font Colours
As pretty much a full time white mage, I've been wondering would it really be that difficult to impement a font colour option for when peoples buffs wear off?

Every other form of text has been given a colour option and for myself personally I pretty much make full use of it i.e. debuffs red, buffs green.

I'm probably not the only person who has the hardest time noticing out of everything when buffs wear because I can't colourise it to something more poignant.

Cool idea and making this happen may just be possible. There are a bunch of things that need to be confirmed, so I can't make any guarantees, but we will look into it. Establishing the rules for this system as well as testing will take quite a bit of time, but I will get back to you if there is any progress.

It should be possible btw <.< I know there is a windower program that can color the text of buffs wearing.

This just comes down to if SE wants to put the effort into doing it or not.

can change the colour of every thing else pretty much.. i mean u can change the colour for when u cast the buff but when it wears off its still default i dont see why they wouldnt just group those 2 together? is that too hard or will the sever explode

IMO the more you can do through FFXI itself and the less you have to rely on third party programs there's less that could potentially go wrong.

This, I'm not against SE stealing all of windower's ideas over the years because that just means it will remain in the game and won't break (forever) after an update.

I don't have that much faith in SE, they break stuff all the time when they do updates.

There's a program that can do this already?!

Do you know the name and were we can get it? This will be so helpful..

Well it's a windower approved program, it should be safe to post here I would think... erase if not XD

XI-UI Version 2.15
Download Link

This program is to control your camera and colors buffs and debuffs wearing. It doesn't edit your players position so you shouldn't get in trouble for this.

Other stuff:The default changes the character's name to yellow, you can fix this by opening up xiui_config.ini and changing:

PLAYER=0,128,64,192

to

PLAYER=

(making it empty)

Then for win vista/7 give XIUI.exe admin rights by right clicking > properties > compatibility > check "Run this program as administrator" > click apply / OK

Then start XI-UI, your name shouldn't be yellow if you edited the .ini file and should look like normal except you notice that when buffs/debuffs wear it changes to the purple shown
