Blue Mage Dynamis Solo :: What spells to set?
Don't find either aspir to be applicable on most nightmare mobs that you'd be farming tbh.
The only camp I got much use out of magic hammer/drainkiss at is the ep JA proc orc camp in glacier. The 2 paladin mobs that spawn there will inevitable aggro/link from time to time.

Since everyone's going to be /dnc i assume the sets are going to be extremely similar. Any suggestions? Store TP (5 points) Fantod Sudden Lunge TH (12 points) Charged Whisker Everyone's Grudge Amorphic Spikes Dual Wield III (20 points) Animating Wail Blazing bound Quad. Continuum Delta Thrust Mortal Ray Barbed Crescent Trip ATT (12 points) Acrid Stream Demoralizing Roar Empty Thrash Heavy Strike Accuracy Bonus (5 points) ** Not too sure about this one Frenetic Rip Vanity Dive Magic Fruit (3 points) Battery Charge (3 points) I solo CoP dyna on BLU/DNC everyday, and which spell to set is depend on what I kill and whether I'm killing for TE or not. For TE killing I set sudden lunge, dream flower, Dark Orb and magic attack bonus, heavy strike, plus other offensive job trait like DW3 and double attack. Also have auto refresh set. I also have an anrin Obi for sanguine/dark orb. CA Efflux Heavy strike can one shot TE, do it behind other mobs and sneak/invis immediately to avoid link. If TE is in packed area, Dark Orb can one shot it. Sudden lunge is life saver if I accidently linked, since some beastmen 2hr can be kinda dangerous especially they're DC. After TE's done I remove sudden lunge/dark orb and set TH. TH is really the main reason to solo dyna on BLU(since with sash it'd be TH2, and 1 or 2 makes a difference), there are no reason not to set it. Sudden Lunge on the other hand isn't needed unless doing DC, EP mobs are extremely weak and low acc, that staying alive is never a problem. If I do crab I'd remove magic attack bonus for MP drain kiss, otherwise I keep MAB for Sanguine. And I always keep dream flower if mass link after pull. Hmmm. I may be wrong but I thought once you get a trait from a subjob then BLU spells won't trump it. Meaning you can't get DW3 if you got DW2 from /DNC or /THF
Correct? DW3 > DW2, so no. I personally don't find it to be worth the points compared to other traits and spells that you can set instead.
So how much coinage do you guys tend to pull in on BLU? Driving me nuts not (ever) seeing a white proc while going DNC. Starting to think my BLU would probably do better.

Really depends on my focus level and competition, and which zone to do. I often multi-task and watch youtube vid when I solo dyna so it's not as many coins nowadays as it used to be. With 100% focus, my highest record was 174 in Bubu, but I had no TH sash, no Almace and d/c for 5 min during that run(I almost always d/c at least once in dyna everyday ;( ), and my BLU is mediocre geared at best. Didn't team up for TE nor use item/food as well. With TH sash+Almace+team up for TE it's entirely possible to hit 200+. Not sure if other zones can pull more. Usually under heavy competition(like 3~5 other BST in same camp) I can still break 160+ easily if I don't watch youtube vid. I can't get that many nowadays anymore though, most of the time I don't concentrate as much as I used to be and often ended up forgot to change camp when time changes, I guess it just happens after grinding dyna for months =( Kinda off topic but looking for some info on solo farming trying white proc at magic times. Looking for any gear/spell advice and any other useful info. Also do not have Almace and not planning on getting unless this pans out decently.
Don't waste time on white proc. Just do a normal JA cycle using the information that's already been covered in this thread.
As you know on this server there are always like 8-20 people in each zone all doing JA procs, trying to avoid that by doing magic proc and having all mobs to myself. Maybe skip the white proc part and just do magic proc would be better?
Most likely not. Magic proc rates are so slow that you would waste even more time just trying to proc the mobs. Do a quick scan of the dream lands before you go, pick the one with the least amount of people, they're all pretty equal so don't just stick to one.
Another tip for you: you don't have to stay on the EP mobs that everybody is fighting over either. Move up to the DC mobs, you'll get forgotten drops which make up for the slightly slower kill speed, and they're generally FAR less crowded than the EP camps. Maybe skip the white proc part and just do magic proc would be better? You either just have to suck it up and compete with them, or move to DC. BLU can solo DC decently if you have good DD gear, they have more HP and takes longer to kill, but certainly have higher drop rate on coins/steps and faster to proc. You just have to set sudden lunge and keep them stunned(some of them hits very hard with TP moves) If there are only 2~3 other players in same camp, can just compete with them as well, some mobs have pop pattern, so after a while you will know where all the mobs gonna repop. But if there are over 5 ppl in same camp, then it's better to move. Magic proc is not better, it takes way to long to proc and costs MP too, compete with 2~3 other ppl in same camp gives better result IMO. On the worst day with competition, on EPs you should be getting around 170~180 coins, and that's if something's going horribly wrong (huge competition, d/cs, etc.). DCs will yield less, particularly if you're inexperienced, however those caps are usually barren.
Average should be around 210~220 coins. On the best of best days I've seen 260 coins, however that was only once. Wait, 260? That sounds awfully high for a non-BST, even after the pet TH nerf. I know your BLU is like 99th percentile, but still. A guttler BST in our LS brings in about that much some days, maybe more.
He said it happened once.
I am keenly aware of this. It's just interesting to see testimony of anything above 200 for something other than a BST solo is all. Out of curiosity, which zone was it?
Considering BLU solo is superior to BST solo, it shouldn't be surprising. I never do Dynamis outside of Valkurm or Tavnazia.
Hey pro, i was looking at the spellset you listed on the first page. Is there any reason for setting acrid stream over empty thrash?
Not really. Set whichever one you want.
Doesn't Empty Thrash have a better stat boost?
Bismarck.Sylow said: » Doesn't Empty Thrash have a better stat boost? I like using benthic typhoon and empty thrash for burning down mobs with conal attacks faster. Though generally I can't afford the set points to do BT in namis since I need to set TH.
Quote: considering you're probably fighting DC mobs DC Mobs have higher proc rates than EP, on EP I waste time turning to proc.. on DC I open with WS If I have TP.. and proc.. and WS again and its dead.
DC have an extra drop slot too for coin. Proth what did you mean when you said that Quadrstrike double attacks with efflux and 150% TP...thought it was just crit rate? Also would it be a good idea to use Anrin Obi for Sanguine?
Yeah, the obi is sweet.

Also would it be a good idea to use Anrin Obi for Sanguine? DC only open an extra slot for coins on Beastmen iirc, for Nightmare mobs 4 coins is still the cap per mob. Ophannus said: » Proth what did you mean when you said that Quadrstrike double attacks with efflux Post was ages ago and I never finished testing it, however if you read it again the attack boost is separate from TP. Likely was an error based on critical hits or something, however my reasoning was that damage average was not fitting with crit rate. In Dynamis-Tavnazia I have seen 5 coin drop from Nightmare Hornet, that was with Thf main however if it matters.
EDIT: was EP hornet, although I've heard it might be tav-only for that. Nope, I've seen 5 coins drop as THF main with TH9 on Nightmare Bomb, was 5 O.pieces too. I farm there every day and it's like a 1-2% occurrence which makes it extremely rare. Maybe the old drop slot for the 100 piece before the neo dynamis changes were converted into single pieces. So whereas previously you had a 1-2% chance of a 100 piece dropping from any mob, now that 100 piece drop slow drops the 5th coin.
