Most Embarassing Thing You've Done In Public

Waiting for my friend outside her block, there was a cardboard silhouette...I was there distracted when I suddenly turn around and see it.
"Oh, good evening, I didn't see you sorry."
*stares*

I actually did this more than once. With the same silhouette in the same place.

Also there are many that involve bullying for me as well but I refuse to share them.

When I was 12 or so, my older sisters always made me call and order pizza because they were too afraid to do it. One particular day, I called, and when they answered, I started off with, "Yes, I would love..."

15 years later and they still won't let me live it down. Haven't called to order a pizza since.

Highschool: boring lesson, I was sitting at the last desk and was jokingly flirting with a classmate from the distance in a teasingly way(involved a lollipop..), however teacher noticed and screamed all of a sudden "Stefania stop sucking on that thing right now!"

Restaurant: friend's birthday, we had a greeting card but was missing some signatures so we hid in the bathroom to finish em off. Since me and this male friend entered together I tried to come out jokingly pretending we had sex so with ruffled hair, adjusting my clothes, etc...fact is I bumped in the owner instead of my friends and he glared at me and entered the bathroom to make sure everything was in order lol.

naaa, I hurt my nose as a kid, so once in a while, that wound opens up and makes me nosebleed

I was stung a lot by red wasps as a child, a yellow jacket once straight through my lip. Had a hole/scar in my bottom lip from the time I was 4 until I was about 16. I've been scared of bees and buzzing ever since. I feel pretty embarassed every time a bee comes around. I get all jerky no matter who is around, so I move all erraticly and try to get the *** away from the bee's/wasp's flight path. I'm still pretty scared of them, but if I have a solid flyswatter then I'm set and will maliciously kill them.

Also, Slip, your story of stomping the bees makes you my hero!

while walking around with someone, something gets my attention and we get some distance between us, so I turn around and ask that other person something or say something, then realize its someone else, giving me a WTF-do-I-know-you stare.

Aww, I like bees. If you hold still with your palm up, they will land sometimes and their fuzzy little bodies tickle. If you don't startle them or tick them off, they won't sting you. ^^



Plus they make honey all day long, and I so love honey!

Anyhow. When I was a wee little squirt (had to have been before I was 8, because I didn't see my mom after that until my 20s) I watched some movie with my mom and sister involving monkeys. And in one of the last scenes, some monkeys are on a plane or something, and one of them flipped off a guy outside the plane. I have no idea, really, I don't even remember what movie it was.

So I asked what that motion meant, the flipping off one, and my sister was all "just shut up, it's funny." So I assumed it meant something was funny. So I went to school a few days later and someone said something that made me laugh, so I flipped them off. A teacher saw me and there was much scolding to be had. ;;

So Bees are just like women... I've heard something like this before! Somewhere... I think it was in a sitcom!

I do like honey, and I know that bees are supposedly less hostile than wasps, but I'll never let one of them land on me willingly. There has never been a time where anything with a stinger has landed on me and not stung me.

I was at a party about 2 years ago. Had a nice game of beer pong going. I was leaning up against a wall near the table watching the game. The girl I liked was standing in front of me, leaning backwards up against me (*** yeah). I then took a drink of my beer, (which obivously someone had laced with a coughing agent) as I immediately and uncontrollably began coughing which spewed a mouth full of beer into her hair and also on to the table.

The room went completely silent. I see everyone giving me this "the *** bro?" face. The girl slowly turned around with this horrified, slightly agitated look. I didn't know what to say, so all I did was tilt my head and shrug. Then everyone simultaneously burst out laughing, and we all joked about it for awhile, even though I was still pretty embarrassed.

I've actually only been stung once. And that was embarrassing too, because I bawled all over the place in front of everyone! I was climbing a jungle gym on the playground. There was a bee on the side opposite of me, so I couldn't see him. I cupped my hand around him as I was climbing and trapped him. Poor guy had no choice but to sting.

Another embarrassing bug story is pretty much anything involving spiders. Sitting in choir class one day (we only sat down for roll call, then all stood up to sing. So this was right at the beginning of class) a humongous hobo spider came trucking across the floor, hauling arse straight towards me. I shrieked so loud it disturbed every single class on that hall, and jumped straight up to be standing on my chair. Didn't even get out of my chair first, went sit-jump-stand. The entire class laughed at me, and just about every other teacher on that hall sent someone to come see if the choir director was murdering me or something. ._.

Stupid hobos.

Spiders used to freak me out because of the way and speed at which they crawl, but then this one time I let this big ole brown spider live because I actively watched him catch and drain this giant cricket(we have an infestation of crickets in my basement back home every summer). Cricket was like 3 times his size, but he took it with ease and drained it dry. It felt like those joke comics with the spider and guy working together to achieve a common goal. I don't mind non-venomous spiders very much any more.

Okay, I have a bug story.

When I was in middle school (eons ago...) my mom and I had to go out to a lumber store to get a long 2x4 for my industrial ed class (I was going to make a box with it, which I still have).

Meanwhile, while I was out, the trash guy was coming to the apartment complex where I lived to empty out the dumpsters. Little did he know that his vehicle was infested with bees who had their hive thrown out, and they were... well, pissed. While the trash guy emptied the dumpsters, the bees found that as a chance for freedom, so they buggered off and went to a nearby light post, which stood between the parking lot we had to park in, and our apartment.

Well, I returned with a huge plank of wood in hand, and I started walking towards my apartment, not bothering to check the light post for bees (which is something a normal person SHOULD be doing on a regular basis). So, before I knew it, my head was surrounded by at least 30-50 swarming bees. Panicking, I dropped the wood and ran like hell while I was getting stung all over. I didn't really care about them though, because I was too busy concentrating on the bee crawling around in my ear.

That was the first and last time I ever did a backflip as I tried everything to get rid of the ***. Luckily, I wasn't stung in the ear canal, but that bee was angry and it seemed like he was about to.

Afterwards, my brother retrieved the wood for me while I laid on the couch writhing in pain.

I like wearing maxi skirts in the summer. They are easy, breezy, cute, fun, and feminine. Whatever, anyways, so it's getting towards the end of the school year (in college) and it was pretty hot out, so I was prancing around campus in a gypsy-style maxi, elastic waist, pull-on, you know the type.

Well, has anyone else ever fallen up stairs? You're going up, and you catch your foot on the previous step so you trip and fall upwards instead of downwards? Most embarrassing. Anyhow, so I was walking up some stairs in my maxi and tripped on a stair and fell up. As if that wasn't bad enough, my foot that had tripped was trapped inside the skirt and began pulling it. The skirt had nowhere to go but down. So I fell upstairs, my skirt got pulled down about a foot, and everyone saw my unders. ><

But at least I didn't know any of them, so they can't tease me about it! ^^

That doesn't sound embarrassing, so much as just plain horrible!

I've never done anything about any of this in public, but I suppose it should be embarrassing just the same, with everyone talking about fears of bugs and whatnot.

Spiders, bees, etc... None of them have ever bothered me. But put a harmless slug on me (which happen to infest my back porch every summer for some reason), and you'll see me flail around like a maniac.

(The only other things that scare me are centipedes/millipedes and frogs/toads. Your guesses are as good as mine as to why.)

When I went to Greece back in college I decided to take advantage of being able to legally consume alcohol. We were on a ferry ride around the Aegean Sea and its islands, and it was night time and somehow I had wound up sitting with the hot party girls of our tour group. Anyway, I downed a glass of whiskey(Johnnie Walker, Black Label) and then a glass of Rum and Coke(think it was Bacardi distilled rum). So there was about 12 ounces of Whiskey and 6 ounces of rum in me and I had only eaten pistachio ice cream about 8 hours earlier that day. I got tipsy and started acting silly. The girls started to freak out, and I didn't care at the time, but when we got back to Athens and I had some food(Gyros at a local small time family owned restaraunt) I realized all the stupid things I'd said and done. Nobody ridiculed me for it, but it was my first time being effected by alcohol, so I vowed to never be drunk in front of a lady again. Though it did cause our tour leader, a literature professor from my college, to decide to not hold back any longer and she ordered a beer at the little eatery with her gyro.

I fall up stairs on a fairly regular basis. At least, in comparison to how often one SHOULD fall up stairs. I also tend to have horrible coordination and run into things a lot. So much so, that I don't even think to be embarrassed about it when it happens.

In college, an old live oak had to be removed from one of my friend's yards. Well, of course, there was a stump left over. One of the guys who lived there had an old hatchet, and when we would get drunk the guys would play their own version of the Highland Games, which was basically everyone throwing this rusty hatchet at the stump. People would have to drink every time someone hit it.

One night, I got that competitive itch. It was still chilly outside, so we had one of those old, clay chimineas going. I'm spindly, so even watching me throw anything with force is a sight worthy of laughter. (It's been pointed out to me several times during intermurals that I have a tendency to do a chasse-skip thing before I release.) Anyway, I completely missed the stump and broke the chiminea sending embers flying that burnt one of my friends.

A bee once stung me in my nuts in public... I was wondering what the sudden pain was and all of a sudden a bee came flying out of my pants... Yeah, I hate bees.

One year my folks took me to the renaissance fair with them, and I loved to go to the kiosk where I could throw knives. The guy was telling us the safety briefing (don't throw with anyone in front of the targets, don't throw them at anyone, etc...) while he was standing in front of the targets. After he gave his little spiel, he turned and walked away, and I dunno what was going on in my head, I guess I was just excited to start throwing the knives, but I threw one about 2 feet away from the dude. His eyes widened and he glared at me as well as everyone else there, and he told me to leave.

That was the last time I tried the knife throwing thing.

In 8th grade I took part in a class that took place once a week after school. I dont remember the exact class, just that it had something to do with computers and art design/engineering. During the first five minutes of the first class, I got a bloody nose. Instead of excusing myself and missing out on some of the class, I decided to use my white T-shirt. Worst mistake ever. Upon leaving the classroom to go to the computer lab, the teacher looked at me shocked and excused me to go to the bathroom. I looked in the mirror and saw a crime scene on my chest. Sadly it was spring and i had no jacket or other shirt to wear.

At my senior prom, i saw my spanish teacher who ran the prom committee that year. She was in charge of organization etc. of the prom. I told her that "everything looks great". She blushed and hesitantly said thank you and walked away. I soon realized she thought i commented on her appearance.

We are dangerous!!! LOL! No knives or hatchets for us!

I gotta keep away from them too, they usually end up stuck in me lol.

Not really an in public story or an embarassment, but one time when I was chopping firewood for winter time and our fireplace, we had this really hard log. My brother tried splitting it with the splitting wedge and maul, but got both wedges stuck inside of it. Then he couldn't get the sledge hammer to go cleanly to knock them out, so I took our splitting maul and reared back with all my strength. When I came down I cleaved the log in two, but the wedges shot out too, and one almost hit me in the nuts. I also swung so hard that I didn't contol the arc of my swing and almost cut through my shoe and into my foot.

This one wasn't done in public either, but when people found out about it I was embarassed lol.

I was fixing something years ago, I forgot what it was now, but I remember I needed a thin piece of sharp metal, so I got a pair of wire cutters and decided to cut down a thin nail to the size I needed it. The nail didn't want to be cut lol so I'm squeezing the wire cutters very very tightly.... I finally cut the nail in half, it shoots off, hits the kitchen counter and disappears... after 2 mins of looking for the bit of nail I realise my face is a little... wet... turns out the piece of nail was stuck in my face about an inch away from my right eye and I didn't notice lol.

Everyone gave me a hard time over it when they found out lol.

One time when I was at a practice campout with my troop of scouts for going to the National Jamboree, this kid took a large rock from the stream near our camp. He ran up to my fire and threw it in. I grabbed him and pushed him on the ground, and then the rock exploded and I got hit in the face by a ton of blazing hot rock shrapnel. I got pissed, and the kid was having a panic attack.

Was on Skype with a few friends while doing missions, I was drinking a coke at the time... so there we are, killing stuff and I go to take a drink... only to pick up the can I had been using as an ashtray, all they could hear was me running for the bathroom while puking... didn't have the headset on, but the mic was really sensitive, so they could hear me puking in the bathroom lol.

Ewww...Yuck! I've taken a sip of ash leftovers too. Worst thing ever!

Yep lol, I was brushing my teeth for about 30 mins after that lol.
