I started playing bst a couple month ago. I have been slowly getting my af3 +2. I am loving bst but notice it is quite expensive. To make up some of the cost I decided to try dynamis.
I went as 99 bst/dnc. I used dipper. I only had the 60 min. Not 100% sure how to get more time or if bst solo can.
I had no prob staying alive I even had a link of 4 and was fine. I am having a really hard time with the proc system even in abyssea I hate it. I looked up everywhere and read so many forums. I did dynamis-valkurn. I read on wiki that different mobs have different triggers at different times. I tried to follow that.
When it was a ws proc I normaly only got enough tp for one per fight. I used rampage since it is most dmg. For ja proc I would just go crazy on steps, finishing moves, spur, ect. I would also use ready when ever it was done timer. Not sure if ready is a pets ja or ws. I did not see !! Once. I mostly got zero coins, sometimes I got one, never two.
I went in to make money but used about 40k in food. I have read about people getting 50-150 coins. I got seven. What am I doing wrong? I play at 2:30am usually so not many people were there. I was fighting flys since they drop byne and they seem to be only coins in high demand.
I know I'm using right pet and job combo. Am I fighting right stuff? Should I try to add more time? If so how? And PLEASE help with proc/drop rate. I am begging you. I'm just not getting it. Any other advice would be hugely appreciated. I want to keep playing bst but need gil to keep up.
     Thx

You have to get the TE's to be able to proc. They are easy to get on BST since you can keep snk/invis up and sic your pet on them and use widescan to find them if you're not sure where they are.

As far as ws mobs go, I usually use a lower ws to keep the mob alive a little longer.

Good luck!

taken from the dynamis faq.. on the dynamis forum

Q. Where are the TEs?
Each zone has 4 Impossible to Gauge static TEs at EP beastman camps. This means they will always spawn in the same area. There is also a 5th 'random' TE. This means it will randomly spawn at a group of beastman who do not have a static TE. These beastman are also DC mobs. You can find the maps on BGWiki.

Q. How do procs work?
Your proc color, excluding white, is dependent on how many TEs you kill. You should always kill all 5 TEs. This guarantees you at least one currency per proc, and freezes the mob for a short period of time.

I thought people played BST to farm currency, instead of farming currency in order to play BST.

Ok. I did not kill any TE's. Sounds like this makes a huge differance. I read alot and did not read much on TE's. I put ffxi TE and got alot that I am reading up on. I am gonna try again soon since its after midnight. Any other useful info before I attempt again? Are fly prob best thing to fight or something else? You said use weak weapon skills. So do you try to keep mob Alive as long as you can until it procs? Then kill fast after? Thanks for replys. Got alot more info after looking that up

The problem is this person didnt know how to farm currency to begin with. Ive duoed with a thf buddy while i was on war, still came out with nice chunk of change each run, xarcabard is one big circle to get all the TE's and the easiest zone outland zone to farm.

I would say go bst/dnc, do a dreamlands zone and do JA procs, if you want to stick with WS mobs then use Smash Axe.

What zone would be best for a dynamis beginner? And just keep spamming all ja like I have been doing? So depending on time of day keep switching to mobs that proc with ja?

I try to play solo during the day but normaly don't get more then 30 min before having to log. I go through ALOT of jugs. And I like lucky broth. Thats why I need Gil to keep up with bst lol. I use lucky broth for beter drop rates.

Lucky Broth/Wool Grease are both TH3 (for now) so stick with one of those when you're farming, when getting the TEs I personally go with Nursery Nazuna (D. Herbal Broth) just because it's cheap and will kill the TEs without much trouble, if something goes wrong, too many links or w/e then who cares since it's cheap.

Yes just alternate the mobs based on which ones are JA procs at the current time, as I mentioned earlier Dreamlands Dynamis is your best bet.
