That being said, it is only legal because the law could not stop them from happening and women were dying from infections (clothes hangars are a hell of a thing).
Will it become illegal again? Probably not, the country is too divided on the subject.
However I'll leave you with the thought: If it there is the slightest chance that it is a human baby at conception, even if you don't believe it is, are you really willing to take the chance of committing murder and killing your child? Forget the law, forget any other extenuating circumstances, think in terms of "will you really be able to live with yourself?"
well, so far it seems like many women are being able to live with themselves so, i'd say yeah lol.

This reminds me of a long conversation/discussion I had with my biology teacher back in high school. But the most interesting thing I wanted to note which took place in that conversation is that during conception in the earliest forms of development regardless of kingdom, phylum, class, or species; nearly every living animal in the process of fetal development took a keen likeness to one another during early stages of development. The general form, shape, origin and location of organs and appendages were all strikingly identical. The difference between a horse, a chicken, a fish or a human were indistinguishable.
Without a doubt it is still life taking form, but ultimately to determine the exact moment of defining it's right as an individual regarding a specific being and species is relative to human interpretation, opinion, logic and fallacies alike.
Raised religious, similar to, well I'd say most people. Not anymore. I could be construed as old fashioned I suppose.
One scientist says "It's not a human," the other says "It is a human," and the people go with whatever is most convenient for them. When it comes down to it, people will choose whatever makes their life more comfortable; children don't fit into most people's plans.

Why I wonder why so many people are willing to take the chance
I definitely agree that a fetus is in great probability a parasite.
Definitively speaking, it shares the same characteristics and traits. If I recall correctly, a woman's body during the initial stages of pregnancy fends off the developing fetus or fertilization as a virus or harmful microbe of sorts. Forgive me if I am mistaken, as ignorance on the subject is common among males.
A fetus is a parasite, there's nothing relative about that. It really doesn't matter if it's a human or not because the fact of the matter is, it is dependent on the body of another living being for its own survival. But go ahead and try to play a moral game regarding could-be life. Abortion isn't about your morals or interpretation anyways.
Why I wonder why so many people are willing to take the chance
Because the priorities of existing life and the conditions brought forth from their potential existence takes priority. Especially since one's opinion on the origin of life is no greater or accurate than another to deny or determine whether or not a mother has the ability to choose whether or not she wishes to bring a child into her current realm of reality.

I don't disagree, but again, you're risking quite a lot just to satisfy your comfort.
The entirety of the whole "life is sacred" argument would be defeated if people weren't under the delusion that they were so damn special to begin with. I hate to inform you that you're all here by a series of coincidences and a person's life amounts to their experiences, memories, and decisions, not by how long their cells have been dividing.
That said, a fetus is a human if and when the person carrying it decides it is.

Your assessment of risk is subjective to your own personal bias. To have that speak on behalf of everyone in my opinion is unlawful; just as you see partaking in what could "potentially" be neutralizing life is unlawful. This subject will forever remain in a stalemate as long as people consistently believe that the bond between sperm and egg definitively defines the origin of life.
Because anything other than pro-choice is infringing on people's right to decide what goes on with their own body and if you don't understand that, you're not worth my time.

Again, I agree with you and don't think the matter will ever be resolved one way or another.
In any case, the OP, however jokingly, asked opinions. Despite horror stories about teen mothers and crack *** and the like in this thread and and/or that I've heard throughout my life, and despite whether or not the fetus is a human being or not, abortion is wrong. The risk that it may possibly be a human being, parasite or no, coupled with the fact that society, let alone myself, believes murder or anything of the kind to be wrong only solidifies my opinion.

It doesn't matter if abortion is "wrong". It is pregnant person's right to terminate their pregnancy.
Because it's in her body? Well that my friend, is your opinion. It's not why the law was passed, and it's only the last defense of why abortion is still legal.
I don't see how it's so clear to you that because the fetus is inside of a person, it automatically makes it her property.
The fetus, at some point or another, becomes a human being and has it's own rights. Whether it's at the moment of birth, the moment of conception, or any point point in between, is what's up for debate.

Who said anything about crack ***?
ninja edited the post, I've heard many a horror story about crack *** having babies. See: Trainspotting, Breaking Bad, etc.

Are you seriously using fictional mediums of entertainment to document your support for pro-life?

Are you saying these things aren't common place, regardless of the examples that I've used?
I can tell you names of people who have fathered children with a mother addicted to meth, but instead I used things that you may have seen.
