I would understand like D3 or SC2:HotS but thats the only big games i even look forward to and they are both holiday :(
Also alot of people get tax money in march so not buying media? thats gonna be quite the feat to see

I don't see how pausing an FFXI sub is going to help this event. I don't think anyone in the american media industry gets any money from an MMO sub from a jp game but if I'm wrong feel free to correct me.

Honestly the part about video games is pretty stupid.

The main supporters of the bill are the movie and music industry. Which the movie industry only makes money from licencing out games based on movies.

I think if they just concentrated on making movies and CDs fail during the month, it would be a lot more successful.

I too think that a boycott is the only thing that will get them to back off, so I'll support the movie and music part. But I'll obviously keep buying video games.

If it was skyrim this thread would be full of either rage at the choice of month or people saying skyrim was the only thing they would buy the same as some are saying for ME3. There is nothing that would convice me otherwise.

For FFXI they charge you extra to reactivate don't they? so you would need to be off for 2 months for that to work out I think.

the thing that rly bugs me is that SHARING files for your own personal listening or viewing pleasure i think should NOT be restricted. If you keep it for your own personal pleasure I have had all my dvds cds stolen some years ago and the cops did jack about it so I should have to REBUY all my cds and such so i can listen to music again also when I was in high school I would record songs off the stereo and make mixtapes like i am sure many of you did and sharing and making cds for friends as well to me sharing files over the internet is "this ages" way of sharing like we used to "back in the day" people trying to profit off others work yes thats messed up. If I buy a loaf of bread at a store should I be allowed to share it with my friends and family or should I be forced to have it to myself. imo I think we should have the freedom to share but not the freedom to proffit off others which i understand is hard to moniter but jeebuz @.@ its getting so rediculous at this point and all the elder congress people could not give one *** because honestly they are way to overpaid to begin so money "aint no thang" and for two they probably dont want to get with the program of the current technilogical state the world or at least this country is its HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE @.@

Since you guys like loaves of bread so much, here's a hypothetical scenario:

Let's say there's this baker who makes some kinda of really super awesome bread. Special ingredients only he knows, etc.

I buy a loaf. Can I share it with my friends?

What if I take the loaf and cut it up and use the slices to make sandwiches. Sandwiches with my own secret ingredients.

Can I sell these sandwiches to other people?

Can I even just give them away?

Or do I have to pay royalties to the baker, even though I already purchased the loaf?

but the bread will eventually be consumed(nommed) and you'll be forced to buy another one if you want to sell more sandwiches
