I found the equation for how much your spikes do to enemies, but nothing about how much an enemies spikes do to you. Is it any different? I'm basically trying to figure out if I would take more damage dual wielding than a single wielder (like GA) would. My LS thought it may be based of delay like drain samba, but we aren't sure.

there is no equation i think, cause sometimes their spikes will deal an extreme amount of damage, like the gargouille nm in aby vunkerl.

Well does delay(or DMG?) effect it like drain samba? Or does it matter? Just wondering if swinging 2 daggers at it will net me more spike damage than a big 2H weapon.

I'm aware. I'm just asking if they calculate the amount of damage I take in a similar fashion to sambas.

You take damage from spikes every time you hit it. Dual wielding hits more often, so it will take more damage in a given period of time. The delay of the weapon does not affect the damage per spike though.

Thank you for actually answering my question.

This. The damage is based off the correlating magic skill and reduced by correlating elemental resistances.

There is most definitely an equation (what, you think the game literally runs on magic too?) and aside from a rare handful that deal significantly higher damage than normal they all follow the exact same formula as player spikes do.

I would think so, and they only adjust skills/attributes on the monster in question.

They might give them traits to double or triple spike damage though in some cases, would be my guess.
