I Can't Remember My PoL Account Password

I can't remember my login and as usual SE doesn't do jack ***to actually help but tell me to "check if cap locks was on"

Anyone know how to recover old passwords? Or how to actually talk to a REAL person instead of using their horrible FAQ support? I remember using a chat system before

when this happened to me they wouldn't give me the PW at all. I ended up having to buy a new copy of 11 because I didn't remember it. when I chatted to support they said it was a security thing (was years ago) so yeah, They suck. (though, guess I do a bit for forgetting)

Is there a way to talk to a real life person not by phone? Seriously if I can log into the square enix account and have EVERYTHING BUT the Pol password I should have it recovered. Their customer service is a god damn joke it just leads you in circles

Just give it a few days chronos, sometimes you'll remember stuff like that after you stop trying to remember :(

your POL password? you can just log into your SE account linked to it and change it from there

No because I never linked my account to my SE account. I wasn't around when that shift happened. It asks me for my PoL password when I try to transfer it over. The customer service is total *** there's no way to get through. They ask for the last CC digits, I haven't registered since I don't have the PW yet. They ask for STATE and ZIP code only. I live in Canada. Neither of those apply to me. Retardation. Retardation everywhere. Also, I've tapped out literally every password I've used in the last like 3 years and even the stupid random numbers and digits one they send me ages ago

I'm not doing Sea, all of dynamis, rank missions etc. all over again just because SE is too lazy to fix it and continue to take my money

Do you need to be registered with a visa/mastercard in order to log into PoL possibly? Because that's the only explanation I can come up with for the password being incorrect

Try to link your POL account to your SE account. I'm not sure how far it will let you get with unlinked account these days. I believe the transfer cutoff has passed.

It gets me to the tranfer button, tells me to log into my POL account, provides me with the POL ID, so I know that's correct. It just says the password is wrong and when I click forgot the password it sends me to "service" which basically says "hurr durr turn off cap locks"

Are you aware of if they return passwords or not? Or if customer service is actually worth a spit in tall grass?

Getting a good customer rep is basically winning the lottery, I'd keep trying.

If you keep getting people you've talked to then wait for the next day :(

As long as you can prove everything else that you are who you are then there is no reason they shouldn't help you. Just gotta find one that will.

you can live chat messaging with them thru "service and support" on there main website.

There subject to office hours (mon-fri) 8am or somthing - 5pm

they are also off for the holidays.

its annoying ive done it befor, you need to kno EVERY peace of information you made when u setup unless you updated your info
(IE your home adreess if you moved.)
and it takes almost a hour to talk to anyone, so get on early.

SE customer service are really bad at getting peoples accounts back in order. Threaten them to take your money when you get angry. They hate it when people try and force them to take money.

You will be able to have your pass word reset by chatting with them on phone and following some steps...

Most likely you will have to print out a form they will E-mail you for account verification.

This form will have to be notarized at a notary as a legal document with you providing 2 form of legal ID to prove you identity.

You will have to mail the form back to them as proof you are original owner of the account.

You will need information like POL ID, Your birth date and other personal info.

original CC's. as well as the date at which you started to play, including up to the exact date.

I went through this process one time it took about a month. But now that the account if fully verified beyond compare it is easier to patch things up if I loose something.

I forgot my password and SE ID a while back, I called SE and asked about recovering it. They asked for the code in the back of the manual for FFXI, the e-mail address I had linked to it, and my credit card info. Granted this was pre-linking accounts to your SE ID. Good luck with getting your SE info.

psh real people are overrated, online chat or email support ftw, had to reset Tyff's password to link the SE account and it was easy with email, plus no waiting on hold.

I once had a good rep. Since my cousin had set up my account he also messed up by a year on my bday, after giving all my info, CC and what not and wrong bday the rep told me the bday was wrong and gave me a second try on the bday. They gave me my pass. Good reps do exist, they may be few, but just try. Maybe you'll get some kick *** rep like the one i had.

Yeah, I had to start over. I did talk to a real person too via the live chat thing so I hope they tried everything they could've done to help me. I get the feeling they didn't

every time I call I never hold for more then 5 mins. They are really not as bad as they used to be.

I'm trying to avoid calling because it'd be long distance for me and Japan is a long ways away... Or Caly, wherever they are away from Ontario..

the longest I've ever been on hold with the Cali office was 15 minutes... if you're that worried about long distance charges I suggest you go buy a cheap long distance phone card... and when you're finished that... keep your password and account name on a sheet of paper somewhere safe.

Chat is best thing to do believe me at least it`s better then waiting stu.id message from them. like they said

Alright, I called in and got my password reset, I used the password to transfer my account onto my SE account and it's currently pending transfer, but the new password still wouldn't work when I tried to log onto POL?
Is POL not active anymore and that's why I can't log in with it or something?
