Would it be possible to add something to people's private profiles that let's them input their current gil and have the total adjusted with AH sales/purchases? It would be handy for keeping track of mules and whatnot.

It obviously couldn't keep track of the true total as there's no way to track NPC purchases/sales, etc, but I think it would be a useful addition.

Not only that, but it'd be kinda useless anyways...I don't know about anyone else, but the bulk of my selling is on mules, so no one would really know the actual character (unless they happen to catch my mule online for the 5 minutes it's on a day)

I didn't say I'd want it to be listed *publically.* How would a third party know if the info was true anyway?

Besides if something is secured it doesn't matter if people know about the valuables it contains because it would cost more than it is worth to get at them. That's true of bank vaults, databases, or MMO toons.

Mine would be a giant 0 anyway, with random spikes of BCNM/KSNM drop sales.

K, having a database that shows how much gil you have on all your characters that is not as secure as FFXI (and we know how secure they are anyway) is still asking trouble. I will admit it is a good idea on knowing how much gil you have without having to log onto the game, but security is too weak atm to do it in practice.

Sorry but i'm pretty sure this wont fly.

There are so many variables that effect gil that FFXIAH wont be able to keep track of it all. It would be impossible to track all gil traded, gil given to NPCs, gil received from monsters or quests, etc..

This suggestion comes up a lot, as it's a good one. I've looked into it quite often.

Unfortunately, due to technical internal data structuring reasons, tracking player gil flow over arbitrary periods of time isn't possible under our system, without an architecture change that would negatively impact site performance everywhere. Apologies.

This goes hand-in-hand with a gil-tracker, and it would probably be impossible to create, but a means to track your Conquest Points, Imperial Standing Credits, and Allied Notes while offline would be pretty groovy. Just day dreaming about it. :\
