i havn't tested the ws's myself, but if they really are worthless, then perhaps it is fair to have them obtained from exp parties/meriting due to the amount of people who just pay others to merit. capping merits 5 times is 1 million? that really doesn't sound like too much of a grind...farming emps caps merits quite a bit as well... i'm looking forward to ws's obtained from new nyzul or some other type of mission/quest.

I sincerely don't understand SE's hesitance to make newer WSs more powerful than lvl 60 WSs. I can understand balance in regard to Empyreans and Relic WSs, but there is no reason Whm should still be using Hexa Strike, Pld should still be using Vorpal (or lolSpirits), Drk should be using Guillotine, etc etc.

Not to mention SE acting like Atonement isn't utterly worthless on anything you would actually consider bringing Pld to, due to their "lets cut spirit damage in half on everything" craze.

The only thing I'm looking forward to at 99 is Nyzle v2, and finally being able to be at 99 and finalize my gear for the last major time.

i will most likely get polearm and gun ... not sure about my third choice... dagger possibly ... or maybe just fully do 2 and have a bunch of gimp ones since it appears that most agree these new ws's are for looks anyways...

I think in all seriousness though, the devs need to apologise to poor Onouma-san; the guy worked hard on making these WS look amazing but the dev team has pretty much ensured his work has been wasted.

Possibly on higher level stuff depending on how much defence it ignores. But for messing around on trash mobs it's just a weaker version of Sidewinder.
