Or you could use curaga, the spell that doesn't require you put yourself in harm's way to do what you were already capable of doing. Hey, now it even comes in an enmity-light model, to circumvent another thing that wasn't an issue beforehand.
In situations like Einherjar you usually in range for esuna so cura comes in handy.

Cite a situation where you would use cura, and I'll tell you exactly why its a bad idea.

As stated before, Cura itself is very situational, but the situations where I've used it, I've used it to great effect. No, it's not going to do jack to any high end NM that you're going to be pounding on, but it works wonder on smaller scale situations and can very MP efficient for the amount of people you can heal.

At this time, I use Cura primarily in Neo-Dynamis when I'm helping to proc mobs WHM/DNC. In fact, my group asks me to come WHM/DNC just to help proc. I pull hate frequently because we pull enough mobs for basically everyone to have one and when I do get damaged, it is a nice boost on Afflatus Misery churns out some nice numbers for heals, even on double dark weather.

In the past at the 75 cap (I believe Cura came out before the level cap increases), I also used Cura to great effect in both Campaign with friends (where somewhat light-weight AoEs were everywhere) and Einherjar, where there was so many status effects flying around that staying up front and spamming Esuna was a amazing. When I pulled hate on the occasional single mob, or when a light weight AoE hits, Cura heals everyone up while keeping my efficient. Of course you don't do this on Dragons or anything, but like anything else in the game, stuff is situational. It's all about knowing how and when to play the appropriate cards.

There are definitely useless abilities/spells, but I personally and adamantly feel Cura has it's pocket uses and does not belong in the "utter trash" category.

Wanted to "jump" in here (get it?) and give our dragoons some cool tidbits on what's in store for them.

After we complete our highest priority tasks of adjusting puppetmaster, scholar, and the firepower of warrior, we would like to add on to the adjustments we made to Wyverns in the 9/19 major version update by adjusting dragoons themselves. We'll be sure to let you know all the details once they become finalized!

Was kind of hoping this would be implemented BEFORE the 99 cap increase. Anything we get 96+ isn't a readjustment, it's just regular business as usual for level cap increases.

I figured THIS would be for level 96+

Also, this may not be implemented at the same time as the dragoon adjustments, but we plan on adding "Healing Breath IV" to Wyverns and increasing the number of status ailments that can be cured by "Remove Breath."

I assume he means leveling off the racial differences of HP/MP.

I just find it silly having only 15k of HP at level 95 outside abyss. Unless i switch to monk.

All I'm saying would be nice to have a appropriate HP and MP adjustment for each race from level 80-99. Unless that consider breaking the game.

Don't know if anyone else noticed this, I'm not going to wade through 8 pages to find out lol.

I believe there has been an error on the original thread posted by the dev team.

Regen V (SCH Lv.99)
Gradually restores target's HP.

Regen IV (SCH Lv.79)

I believe the top one should be WHM getting Regen V, not SCH, as it doesn't make sense to give them acces to Regen 4 and also Regen 5, and not WHM.

I've not played in a while, but I'm pretty sure WHM doesn't already have Regen 5, so I feel this is a typo error. Unfortunately I can't find the thread to reply to on the official forums so I figured here would do.

It's not a typo. SE is trying to give SCH a new niche in this game and decided to do so by enhancing their Regen potency/duration via Light Arts. They adjusted the levels of all Regen spells so SCH gets them earlier and SCH gets Regen V at 99.

no i thought SE said something about adjusting hp/mp because new mobs and ***. or something...idk i thought i read that somewhere
they where prolly saying adjusting the HP/MP merits (SE thinking "this is what they mean?no?well deal with it.")
I believe they said they were raising the max amount of HP/MP merits.
Theyve done it once already...but i would be welcome to more HP and MP via merits! :3

Is there any more information about the new jug pets? I was told that the hippogryph was confirmed to be a THF. Are the recipes known on the test server, or do they just give you access to the jugs via moogle?

they fit a fine niche, just curious as to why WHM gets all the regen merits and/or regen bonus gear, then gets shafted.

@blu update: critical hit attacks are sooooooooooooo 90 cap

I'm used to BLMs whining about SCH stealing their thunder (if you'll pardon the pun) but not WHMs.
