I would imagine +3 Emp Armor will be out for 99 so how good can they make relic +2. *** I just realized how much more inventory this is going to take up if the armor is actually good. T~T
Here's hoping they introduce an epic The Gobbiebag Part XI quest that gives us 20 inventory+

Anyone know which mobs in the specific zones are "know to drop these" more often as others - or more likely? Valkurm JA Cycle spam with Hippos, Manticores, Flys sucked in this case for head -1. Means you need to hand in items to be rewarded with the augment much like empys, the clue is where it says the stage 2 requirements "merit point related augments" suggest they are stating whats needed for the trial not what the augment on the equipment will be. If it said "merit related augments" then id be unsure. Koga Tekko +2?! *Justinmx is lost in thought.*

Q.Q
Now I'll be the same as all the non-pimp+1 players. ![]() Yay I want to see the DNC upgrades :3
Well this sounds slightly hopeful as far as finally implementing the gear which in many cases was originally very situational (macro'd for ability) or just utterly useless (pre-ToAU jobs, I'm looking at you). While I'm interested to see what exactly these augmentations are going to be, if they aren't at least as useful as Emp+2's by the end of the trials I don't see the point in doing this.
That being said I see trials being possibly: 1) Collect X amount of ancient currency to upgrade to stage 1 (x2 if not +1'd) 2) Go defeat X Dynamis NM Y number of times (most likely would be stage 2) 3) Collect X amount of -1 version of desired upgrade (horrendous considering can only carry 1 r/ex and all) Unlikely but I can see SE doing this... 4) Collect X amount of new items with extremely low drop rate from new VW NM's (r/ex, wouldn't wanna make things too easy by trading/buying what you need and don't want, respectively) Cerberus.Saithorx said: » Q.Q Now I'll be the same as all the non-pimp+1 players. ![]() Trial 124098: Collect 5 Duelist's Chapeau -1. Kinda random, but what if this involves the Limbus revamp? Abc serving purpose again.
"Item-related augments"

Honestly, they could require anything, so I wouldn't put it past them to make it ABCs, or anything for that matter. How about spending 10k tabs from FoV for a trial? I'm leaning more to Dynamis-related though, so if anything it's probably currency, new drops to turn in (i.e. seals or trophies), or a number of kills within Dynamis. One thing I didn't understand about this new system is if the rewards will be +2 items. Is it multiple paths to the same +2 item (those with +1 have it easier)? Or will the rewards be NQ and +1 relic with the same augments but different trial requirements? I think the latter.
I read the stage-two portion of the augment as being similar to what we see now with some pieces of AF3+2, where the armor piece enhances/ augments a job trait or job ability.
In this case, stage-two augmented pieces would enhances/ augment traits/ job abilities that are unlocked from the revamped merit system they're going to release... The thing can be interpreted in two ways:
Stage1: trade items for the upgrade. Stage2: spend merit points to upgrade. or Stage1: stats increase. Stage2: specific augment related to job specific merit category. Now which one is it? I just hope they change the appearance of some relic gear when it gets upgraded... because damn... words cannot describe my hatred for Koga gear.
Going with the former rather than the later... I know SE's gotten lazy but allowing us to spend merits to zoom past the second stage in a magian trial makes the least amount of sense given their approach thus far to ToTM.
