i dont even. epeening on an exp session that was PL'd? ~.~

I remember doing 10k/hour in ffxi and feeling like a total champ a very long time ago, how times have changed to cater to the casual gamer. Now its ranks 40-50 in 3hours

to some degree, but i dont think this is really what yoshi-p really had in mind. I know for a fact he didnt intend players to get 40-50 in 3 hours. even after the pl "nerf" there are so many ways around it.

I've been playing for about 2 months now, very casually. Mainly leveled THM up to 50 solo and duo with a friend because I like the job and because I wanted to find out what the game is like on my own at my own pace without any outside influence. The other day, answered a shout looking for an extra person to do Ifrit kills. When the person asked me what jobs I had 50 and I answered "just THM", all I got in response was "pfft lol"

Seems like everyone has all 50s in this game, one LS member just did all the DoW in less than a week. Seems kinda busted to me

In a way it is kinda busted but i have played since release and i am still very busy. Seems to be a hand up to the new comers! Take advantage of it, Ifrit requires abilities from mostly every DOW/M if you wanna be part of a successful team! <3 gl

Don't get me wrong, still love the game. It didn't bother me, just thought it was funny that having "only" one 50 elicited that response. I guess it shows how extremely easy is to exp in this game. Doesn't mean its not fun though, and ty for the gl :D

yoshida and the team have consistently said that he didn't want this game to be about leveling, he/they wanted it to be about the content. Granted there is little content to be seen so far but that is to be expected due to the sensitive circumstances of this game and it's development issues. I do agree they should have gone about it a different way though if they want people to breeze through leveling. A party at Natalan can easily pull in 200-300k an hour with a single PL, they just should have made that possible with a single party by itself without the PL cheese factor.

I got all my DoW/DoM to 50 before PLing even became a viable option but I have done my fair share of PLing friends so I can understand the situation.

The inner strive for doing things the fastest possible makes me want to use whatever means needed to achieve my goals quickly, I truelly wish the way was NOT with PL's. I loved in FFXI to gear up like I was going into a god fight when it was just a lvl 35 PT in crawlers nest. Doing the absolute best job possible to eek out a little extra XP/hour. Always having the gear for that next lvl up ready and going the extra mile to get the R/EX NM drop's along the way. Unfortunately I don't get that type of satisfaction in FFXIV.

They have shifted the claiming system to make future large scale PVE much more realistic but one of the downsides is that PL'ing will always be here to stay.
