All im getting from your post is troll....(bad troll at that) instead of trolling why don't you disprove that in Call of duty games you can kill people with out been on target with the lolcross hair. woospy,my bad,you cant LOL or maybe hes just aiming for the biggest part of my body? O.o so, in response after realizing your argument was moot, you try to troll me. just let it go
Boss-man said chill. I'd do so unless you wanna get topic-ban or get the thread locked. x.x
k im not much of a CoD player, ususaly end up in the bottem 3 in a match, just wondering if anyone has any advice to get better? im more of a BF player with team combat and such, just the survival mode and the new support kill streaks <earlyer CoDs i barely got a KS so this is neat to me lol> kinda got me interested in this
I don't know if there is anyway to get better at that type of game aside from getting faster reflexes.
Only advice I can think of is keep a wall to your back(unless you're 100% positive no one is behind you) and keep moving, but never go sprinting down the middle of a map.
eh ill try that.
CoD, in comparison to BF, is 100% close combat. Sure there is some distance stuff but honestly you'll be shooting someone in your face for the most part.
ok i have a question, is there any way possible to tell if you have been granted founder status or not? ive entered the code, played the multiplayer once etc. but i am unable to see if the status has been granted.
Finished the campaign earlier today... I was pretty happy. Felt like a little long action packed movie. (nothing outrageously new) Just cool scenes. I was happy! Now on to Multiplayer & Skyrim!

I managed to get into Elite and view my profile for about 20 minutes on Wednesday, I had a Skull next to my Gamertag (Whereas before release/redeeming it was an update button) I'm assuming that's how you tell. It doesn't really matter anyway though since Elite isn't even working, I'm sure it'll become evident when it is though. Just unlocked the MSR, the final Sniper Rifle...
Is it just me, or does it seem like it takes a fraction of a second longer to zoom in than the others? Get confidence. I know how dumb this sounds but you will play MUCH better if you can decisively move around the map and take calculated risks. If you are moving slowly because you're not confident, you're basically prey to people playing with a rush playstyle. #2. Play with friends. The game becomes a lot more fun and easier when you can call out positions to each other and such. #3. Keep checking the minimap; if you assume everyone on your team will shoot the enemy when you see them, you can work out where enemies are and where enemies are not. #4. Use your tactical grenades (if you have them equipped). Don't know if an enemy lies in wait etc around the corner? Chuck one and see if you get a hitmarker. This is especially good paired with Recon. #5. DON'T RUN AROUND CORNERS UNLESS YOU ARE 100% CERTAIN NO ENEMY AWAITS! ADS around corners. #6. Know when to ADS and when to hipfire someone (this varies by weapon/situation). If you get caught in a situation where you need to ADS but they're still quite close, start shooting and ADS while you're shooting. Some of your hipfire shots may hit! #7. Most weapons are better off being burst fired at range and sometimes even at close. With practice you can work out how many shots it's going to take to kill someone and so conserve valuable ammo. Reloading during a firefight is not good! #8. If you need to reload, always go under cover. Don't walk around while reloading. #9. Strafe while shooting. #10. Use where your teammates die to work out where not to go. If someone dies right in front of you, a lot of the time if you go out there the guy who just killed your ally will still be ADSing that very spot and you'll just be giving him a free kill. #11. USE COVER. #12. Learn your gun. Every gun is different. There's plenty, plenty more but those'll start you off. Fenrir.Enternius said: » Just unlocked the MSR, the final Sniper Rifle... I believe they did that for all snipers that pretty much have a high chance of one-shotting to avoid quick-scoping. Friend said the same thing for the stronger sniper rifles. I'm glad they did. Oh, and one BIG tip for improvement I should mention and this applies to everyone:
When you get killed, do not think "OMG THAT LAGGER/HACKER/WHATEVER, THIS IS BS"! Think, with possible reference to theatre mode about WHY you died and WHAT you can do to improve in the future. Sometimes you will die because of lag or bad luck or even a hacker... but this is rare. 99% of the time you died because your aim was off, or him shooting you knocked your aim off, or you were moving badly, etc etc. Never think yourself above dying or not only will you get frustrated more, but you won't learn from your mistakes and your progression will be halted. ^I WAS AROUND THE CORNER HOW DOES HE GET CURVING BULLETS
I dunno if this applies to MW3, but in MW2 I hated that the "Invervention" can actually kill people in one hit apparently, regardless of where it hits... but a Barrett can't... It's a f'ing 50 cal. It would kill you or at least knock you the f**k out.
It always took me 2 shots to kill someone unless I hit them in the head or dead center of the chest. ,_, Bismarck.Eburo said: » I dunno if this applies to MW3, but in MW2 I hated that the "Invervention" can actually kill people in one hit apparently, regardless of where it hits... but a Barrett can't... Also, Barrett looks cooler. Yeah, Intervention was always my sniper as well. Something about the bolt-action feels much better to me.

On the other, that doesn't translate to multiplayer very well. Losing limbs and crap because of a sniper? Even InfinityWard acknowledged it at one point. In a mission in CoD4, you use a Barrett to shoot Imran Zakhaev from over a kilometer away and it literally takes his arm off, yet that would be stupid in multiplayer. |
