Glad I watched it before I opened this thread! Spoilers people!
I wasn't expecting that. Good episode. xD Fairy.Spence said: » I'm sure you'd be in there bangin' the hot zombie chicks too. /that awkward moment when you realize you said something you shouldnt have... The clip for next week's episode... O_O!!!!
was that fat redneck that fat zombie in the sewer or whatever the heck that thing was in?
Siren.Clinpachi said: » And it looks like it *** him up emotionally to make him shave his head... So he has remorse for what he did.... I'm more for thinking so that he could cover his tracks. Without shaving his head, it's pretty obvious that he has a DIVOT in his head from where fat otis yanked out a chunk because he figured shady cop dude should die along with him... I had a feeling something was off when he didn't do the right thing and talk to Otis' wife and console her with words like "your hubby died a hero" or something along those lines... Dude couldn't even look her in the eyes... He's all about survival, and given that there's no room for emotional baggage like remorse... Shane almost sacrificed himself so that Otis could get away with the supplies. Seems a little inconsistent. While covering his tracks might be part of the reason he's shaving his head, I don't think it ends there. I'm fairly sure it's one way of putting it behind him.

Seems a little inconsistent. yeah, but isn't that the point. why would he even say something like that? if it's all about surviving why is he thinking about killing himself. Either way he was goin to make sure he or otis would make it back to help the kid. Since otis wouldn't do it he took matters into his own hands and made otis dinner. Besides if you remember he was daddy for awhile because they thought real daddy was dead so kid > otis. Pipe bombs would attract more zombies, that's why they don't like to pop shots off if they don't need to plus conserve ammo.
Shane talks the talk but he won't walk the walk... He's the sort who offers you a beer and secretly hopes you refuse because either a) he has none or b) wants to drink it himself...

The point is well made, the one thing I hated most about Shane leaving Otis behind. It's just that he left him to face the worst possible death. He left Otis to be eaten alive. You're telling me, He couldn't have put Otis down before leaving him? I mean the zombies would still stop to eat the fat man buffet presented before them... That was what really bothered me... I totally understood what he did and why, it's just how he did it that I found at fault... And he so totally had atleast 1 bullet to spare for a courtesy headshot... Naw he did it the right way to ensure the zombies would stop to eat the moving otis if he was lifeless they may have continued on to shane not giving him the jump he needed.
Yeah, he definitely could have done a headshot instead. I agree, pretty horrible fate! But Makado is right, he did the right thing given the situation. The "buffet" was more of a distraction while it was squirming around, rather than lying still.
It's life or death and in this case could have been 3 compared to 1 greater good idk.
Can't wait until next weeks episode gonna get crazy i'm sure.

But then I turn and think that they both woulda died... Then Carl... And it looks like it *** him up emotionally to make him shave his head... So he has remorse for what he did.... Or so it would seem... God I hate this once a week crap where's merle, i hope he doesn't have a disgusting rubber hand like that guy on Prison Break.
I have a feeling that they are going to spend the whole season looking for the little girl. >.> MOVE ON ALREADY!
Don't get me wrong. I like the show even though I've only seen 2-3 episodes of season 1. Quetzalcoatl.Terribleone said: » Don't get me wrong. They probably didn't think people would take to it so well, now that its obvious how much people enjoy watching the series the second season was made twice as long as the first.

So he has remorse for what he did.... Or so it would seem... God I hate this once a week crap I'm all for a zombie series...but I can't get over some of the decisions that the characters are making. I understand it's a drama and can't be filled with zombie chasing/killing etc but I'm not even talking about that. Some of the decisions the writers have the characters make are just awful and purely done to create drama as opposed to creating drama through good writing...They need to move the story along.
I want to see how a unique and well thought out group of characters making logical decisions would fare in this situation. I'm looking forward to seeing when the group meets up with some military (as they hinted in the season preview / when Rick saw the helicopter in ATL). I'm not sure if you realize this but I'm pretty sure logic gets thrown right out the widow once Walkers start to pop up.
Right and wrong also get thrown out the window as well. You do what you have to to survive. I have not really seen the characters do anything that I found to be unbelievable. What is it you find wrong with how they've acted? I am disapointed with the walking dead, Breaking Bad blows this boring series out of the water in terms of compelling story line.
