I am a bit disappointed by the excessive focus on each character's "personal thoughts" on this 1st episode. Too many monologues and commercials. I was expecting a bit more "Blargh, blargh, pew, pew, nom nom" and less "It's your fault, no your fault, no you!" Good to see they're somewhat sticking to the Comic book's storyline though.
I think the intrapersonal dialogue is what makes this show awesome! Especially since the show is kind of a survival horror and the characters really matter in those
I didn't expect his son to be shot. I initially thought that the deer was the "sign" that he prayed for, and the little girl would have been watching the same deer that his son approached.
Maybe I'm just too "glass half full" for my own good. :/
Iunno...kinda hoping the nice little family on the plantation ranch is going to be housing the little girl.....but i also have the slightest little inclination to think they are cannabilistic...but thats just me...
still....was a nice season opener...hopefully they answer our damn question (what the FFFUUUUUUUUUUUU did the scientist say to him!?!?)
also: did anyone notice...the zombie in the RV notices she's in the bathroom by the guns clinking noises...but they dont get a little bit suspicious of car banging noises and kind of audible whimpers of panic? a lil fishy if you ask me >:|
I'm betting that Jenner told Rick that this is a government experiment or virus gone wrong, or the zombie stuff is man made and an "Oops" that was accidentally released.
Like a bio-weapon that was contained and being developed, but released on accident.
I also laughed from the irony that they prayed to zombie Jesus.

its like on every zombie movie, nobody has had any exposure to zombies from the media. never saw a show about em, read a book about em, movies...nothing. its like they go freakin HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE when they see somethin undead moving towards them.
um, hello....take off its effin head or somethin
i thought that too until i watched 28 days later. the father and daughter knew how to work angles and use basic strategy to stop the zombies from coming in. he used a riot shield and helmet and since the shield takes up most of the hallway he would just plow them back with the shield and hack away with machete.
the zombies in that movie were impossible to gauge though. they were more like athletes on crack.

That's the motif of the zombie genre.
28 days later has no reference to most zombie genres IMO. There are 2 different type of liable infections. The regular scratch/bite infection and the everything type infection of 28 days later. I may be off on it, but i'm pretty sure in 28 days later almost any contact at all and you were killed as a risk. (Just a drop of water falling off the who knows how old zombie in his eye made him go instantly infected..) Plus that type of virus made the infection aftermath almost immediately... Just my 2 cents on the 28 days later type zombie. (Not to mention they also still gained almost full human ability's, they could run. It was more like an insane type instead of an undead.)
But as for season 2, episode 1 it was slow like all episodes but it was to the point of how a small yet real colony of survivors may act, especially when it comes to something like a simple child lost in the woods and an old man lieing just to give a little more type of hope. It is all believable. All in all I am not disappointed at all and look forward to episode two.
i don't get what his kid was trying to do? they letting him try to pet it or something?
i just kept picturing this
I'm sorry but as much as those kicks may have hurt.. and some of it was even in slow mo I believe.. But if you grabbed its legs and pulled it down on its back it would probably be alot easier to handle or even physically kill. (Grab its horns and break its neck) In most situations like that your adrenaline should kick in over time so no excuses. If you die to anything other than being stabbed to death from its antlers you sir deserve to die.

not if you're a kid.
That does not look like a kid to me, i even see a small beard, but maybe thats just me or the quality of the video. I would say 17+ is not a kid..
I mean, the main character gets inside a tank (yes, a motherfucking tank) and doesn't even attempt to drive it thru the zombies. No, like a completely HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE muppet he crawls out the bottom THROUGH the zombies. Retard. If the zombiepocalypse happened he'd be one of the first to go.
As Evilpaul said, the show was completely ridiculous.
Also, were you watching the same show i was? cuz he crawled in from the bottom and out through the top if im not mistaken...

i'm talking about what were they doing allowing his son to walk that close to a wild animal. the video was supposed to show that deers attack. yes that one attacked with his hooves but i'm pretty sure there is quite a few that will try to gore you.

Imagine the welts on this guy also. I wonder, if that deer every whacked that guy in the peenie, how the guy would have felt?
I used to live up in Northern Canada.. this is a rare occurance, if you are ever this close with nature...by 100 Ft.. its usually riddled by shot gun shells mostly.
