thanks josiah. its funny you say that i was telling my friend youd be the one to respond xD
k. appreciate it. where can i get them? i was gunna use that one guys that just posted ss.
My Computer -> Local Disk (C:) -> Program Files -> Playonline -> SquareEnix -> FINAL FANTASY XI -> ROM through ROM8.
Example: swapping Dalmatica for a Morrigan's Robe Dalmatica (1-130-3) Morrigan's Robe (1-176-21) Dalmatica can be found in ROM -> folder 130 -> 3.DAT Morrigan's Robe can be found in ROM -> folder 176 -> 21.DAT Remove the Dalmatica dat (3.DAT), can drag to desktop or new folder. Copy the Morrigan's Robe dat (21.DAT) and paste it somewhere to rename it. Copy it once you renamed it to 3.DAT and place it where the original Dalmatica file was. You might want to make a backup of the original files before you go swapping though, in case you want the old ones back. Just make a folder labeled what it is and the ROM number and stick the dat in there. Put the folder wherever you'll remember it. Hope this is what you were looking for/helpful I use altana viewer to get the location:
![]() and then ROM is 1 and then obv ROM2 is 2 and then continue to the sub folders... ![]() Fast explanation! Not perfect but it has pictures! I just google ffxi dats for some sites :D Youtube video! ^_^ Also, ffxidats.com doesn't exist anymore. Modelviewer also works to find out pathways
PS make sure to back up EVERYTHING that you move just in case!
thanks guys I highly appreciate it!
I suggest renaming the dat you are replacing to something like
46original.dat And leaving it in the folder in case something messes up. Just my opinion though. Edit: oops confused the example Exactly what was said, but do it twice. I usually just rename the file like 3.DAT to 3org.DAT, then drag the file you want (prenamed to 3.DAT) and stick it in there. That way you don't have to forget where the original is. |
