MotionJoy - Why isnt it working!!
I have been racking my brains to get this lil program to work after restarting my PC.
Anyone else that uses a PC + Gamepad having a issue with it? Going crazy with it too! Hasn't worked at all for me today, idk what is the issue :/ I try to get on the site and nada...
any other decent alternatives out there? I'm a retard to play with a keyboard and here I only have a PS3 controller avalable >< /joy motion
fixed It's finicky. Pain in the *** sometimes, I've had problems in the past where it should be working but wasn't. What version of windows do you have?
I dunno, I use a PS3 controller too, and have problems occasionally.
I switch between PS1 and PS2 functionality a lot (trying playing Touhou with an analog stick o_O) and sometimes the analog stops working when I switch back. The only way I could fix it was reinstalling Motioninjoy. Is it this problem? i got sick of it on windows 7 with my ps3 controller and just ended up buying a $20 logitech a little over a year ago. back when i used XP it was fine with my ps3 controller but vista/7 was just shitty. I had 1 computer with win7 on it that I got to work and I never got it to work on my laptop for some reason
Also, there's this:
http://code.google.com/p/x360ce/ It works with PS3 controllers too, I had to use it for a couple of games because they wouldn't recognize MotionJoy. It's not as simple or straight forward as MotionJoy though (which is saying a lot) I have Win Vista Home Prem. 64bit.
Only if the freaking "Local" setting worked then we wouldnt have to connect to its website every time it starts up. I dont play with a ps3 controller but a Power (A) contoller. Its a wireless ps3 controller knock off. Only if there was a way to contact that guy who made the program ><. Have you done the disable driver signature enforcement?. Sometimes it would work for me fine on Windows 7-64, and then sometimes it wouldn't, but it'd take me awhile to figure out what was going on.
Yeah mines already taken care of. Also i have the DSE set to not bother me when i restart, thanks to a youtube video.
The only thing that i hate is that it can read everything but my analog sticks.... which in that case i might as well start playing with the key...... WHAT AM I SAYING!!! I really dont want to have to buy a Microsoft Controller... Mine didn't work either when I tried getting on this morning. Considering you NEED to have an internet connection to use the damn thing.. that's probably the problem. http://www.motioninjoy.com/ is down. Sooo that's a no go for getting it to work until the site comes back up I'm guessing.
*edit* There is a saving grace for you though if you're using a 32 bit system. Download this http://dl.qj.net/playstation-3/tools-and-utilities/sixaxis-driver-for-pc.html Install and use the application software that comes with it. Then click the PS button afterwards. Sometimes it takes a few tries. Siren.Shadee said: » Mine didn't work either when I tried getting on this morning. Can anyone suggest controllers for pc that isnt a ps3 or 360 controller?
![]() Gamestop has there own version of ps3 usb controllers that work without having to use motioninjoy. Just use the offline version, problem solved.
Is that my only hope?

Im glad (or pissed, when i think about it) to find out im not the only one thats having this problem, hopefully the website is only down temporary/or having maintenance or some ***, does anyone know whats going on for real?
There was a 502 Gateway Error, so i'm sure it has something to do with the DHCP/IP lease on the server side of Motioninjoy. Since the client uses the internet and drawls information from the site, the client will not work, no matter what your system specifications are. I wasn't aware there was an offline client, and if that doesnt work either (I havent seen any errors regarding the offline client) then it must be two separate issues. Hope they figure it out, I really wanna use my PS3 controller again :/
Yeah i just gave up on motionjoy. My cousin just brought me over a controller that works with ffxi and doesnt need that stupid program.
Aye ive decided to go with a logitech controller as well, if the website comes back, so be it, while for the most part i havent had any problems with this driver til now, i think its for the best not to deal with this *** from here on.
