Ys Origin english translation finally out!
I'm so excited the translation is finally out, jizzed in my pants.
Has anyone played Ys Origin or any of the other Ys games? If so which one is your favorite? Ys Origin Demo Video. Yeah I've played a few of these. Great stuff! I'd heard of the series forever but didn't play anything in it till about 3 years ago.
I started playing when Ys Book I & II was released on the Turbo Graphix 16 CD. I didn't like the fighting concept but the music is what got me hooked on the game. Ever since then I played every Ys game released.
My favorite is Ys Origin. Then Ys The Oath in Felghana for the PC. Why did they have to release Ys The Oath in Felghana on the PSP instead of the PS3. I think what makes the Ys series epic is the awesome soundtrack and porting it to a handheld was a bad idea. WHUR PATCH
I've got the JP LE box set... or is it an official release? Sad to say, I've only really played through books I & II on the DS release. (I'm too lazy to dictionary my way through the whole game so I've been sitting on it for years ><; ) Here is the english translation patch http://www.megaupload.com/?d=94C11KV5
Lots of people seem to be having problems with installing the translation patch properly so I'll just list the instructions. 1. Install Ys Origin 2. Install Ys Origin Special Disc 3. Install English Translation Patch how good are the translations?
been playing Ys Seven on psp. first i played was the III on the SNES..
![]() such bad box art <,< thot that ended on the NES lol ive never played a ys game before but that video has got me interested, what system is ys orgins for? and how might i come by a copy.

I only noticed one misspelled word sorceror which should be sorcerer. I'm sure they will have a update patch later to fix any minor spelling errors. This reminds me of Double Dragon III for the NES. They misspelled Billy and called him Bimmy. lol Bismarck.Moonlightespada said: » been playing Ys Seven on psp. first i played was the III on the SNES.. ![]() such bad box art <,< thot that ended on the NES lol If you haven't played Ys The Oath in Felghana already. Its the remake of Ys III Wonderers from Ys and its for the PSP. Unfortunately this game isn't so easy to find. This is the Falcom online shop but you need to understand japanese. http://www.falcom.co.jp/mailorder/catalog/936.html This place also sells the game but its expensive compared to other places that sells it. http://www.yesasia.com/us/ys-origin-dvd-version-japan-version/1023764057-0-0-0-en/info.html bleh hate that, so many awsome games never get imported, or at least not officially /sigh
i guess i can reinstall the game again just need to find my disk
Sylph.Knala said: » bleh hate that, so many awsome games never get imported, or at least not officially /sigh Most of the Ys games do have a official release. Ys I & II Chronicles PSP/DS, Ys The Oath in Felghana(Ys III) PSP, Ys VI Ark of Naphishtim PS2/PSP, and Ys Seven PSP. I would recommend Ys The Oath in Felghana or Ys Seven. Ys The Oath in Felghana plays just like Ys Origin. I personally like fan translation better than official translation because they don't censor anything in the game where official translation either have to reword or leave out certain things because of HELP I AM TRAPPED IN 2006 PLEASE SEND A TIME MACHINE censorship. Also Ys The Oath in Felghana for the PSP uses the fan translation done for the PC. Bismarck.Moonlightespada said: » been playing Ys Seven on psp. first i played was the III on the SNES.. ![]() such bad box art <,< thot that ended on the NES lol The box art with the face of Adol looked familiar but I couldn't think of who it looked like earlier until now. That face reminds me of Ron Weasley on Harry Potter. lol I've played Ys 1 on the master system in 1988 and that was in english.
And last year I played Ys1 and 2 for the pspgo and that was in english. So prity much all of ys have been in english Necro to post that Origins and Oath are coming to Steam.
Ys Origin English released today on Steam for $19.99.
Changes made to game. They redid the intro. The French voice in the intro suppose to be improved but I don't speak French so it sounds the same to me! The extra character is unlocked by beating the game with only one of the character instead of both in the Japanese version. Favorite soundtrack from Origins. Ys Origin before YS I+II?
Bismarck.Faelar said: » Ys Origin before YS I+II? Yes takes place before Ys I+II. Just found out Yunica has a bonus outfit. Tried to find info on how the bonus outfit looks but only seeing cosplay outfit as result in search. O.o Requirement beat the game on all difficulty with all characters. Have to beat the game 12 times. She better be showing some boobs for all that effort.
Just beat the game on hard with Yunica in 7hrs. |
