Hasso Up set
Seems pretty perfect. 5hit 25% stated haste. Raja/brutal needed during WS. 5/5 stp merits. Thoughts? jw but, what would you wear with hasso down? lol.
New update seems to have been kind towards the 5-hit Masamune. Pity about the Ace's Leggings though, although I don't think it's possible even with Unkai Haidate +2 for WS & Ace's Leggings for TP?
Edit: Nope, 1 STP out. What about Ace's for capped Haste and a Moonshade Earring with Regain on it? Wouldn't 1tp/tick make up for the loss of 3 STP? Techinically you should have 100-102 TP after 5 swings or WS+4swings. Forgive me if that was a stupid suggestion, I'm no xhit specialist lol.
Thats actually what I'd use for Hasso down. AF3+2 body is the best Zanhasso piece so its whether the .3% in haste is worth the loss of increased zanhasso rate. Also VW drops are VW drops. /facepalm Moonshade should be tpbonus/att for anyone with Masa no exceptions! Regain augmented Moonshade Earring is pretty much always a bad idea.
And considering 5-hit and 6-hit are virtually identical in terms of damage output until extraordinary haste levels are involved(at which point 6-hit becomes definitively better), I don't see the point in dropping an additional 15 SB to facilitate it. I understand that, but when you introduce things that sacrifice (even minuscule) amounts of overall party safety for differences that don't show up on paper or in practice, it becomes pretty pointless.
5hit vs 6hit was a close debate more so when you had to make huge sacrafises in att and da. (atheling vs tactical) With the new gear options the 5hit should be advantageous. The OP gear set also doesn't use Ace's body.

Regardless, its been a 'close debate' for long enough that people should accept that forcing a 5-hit is beyond silly. SAM isn't exactly Abyssea friendly and I never use it there, but sure nothing gear wise matters in those zones except haste. I agree a lot VW is SAM/THF but if you are WS only none of this discussion matters. Opportunity cost, learn about it 2. I don't think anyone here cares about SAM in Abyssea 3. Learn how enmity works. /THF does nothing to prevent or remedy your hitting the CE cap, and VE cap is inevitable in either situation.
High Jump is better for enmity mitigation than Trick Attack is, this isn't opinion. (Uneducated) mob mentality doesn't scare me, so feel free to rate up the guy who doesn't understand that -15 SB + Auspice is still a loss in total SB until you're blue in the face. Apparently the troll is the only one capable of doing addition and subtraction.
