Okay, last month i came back to FFXI from a long term break. (quit in 2008~)
Now, not only is everything completely different, but i find myself stuck only knowing 1/2 people that remain, I feel its about time to make a move, being from Sylph for 90% of my FFXI time (Played on Garuda for a month) I'd like to give another home a try and essentially start again.
Being from the EU, UK to be precise and having a full time job, i find it hard enough as it is to find people to play the game with, as whenever any events are going on its 3am in the morning or the middle of the day. This being said, i would obviously prefer a server with a higher EU population.

I don't want this to be a server fight thread, i'd simply just like to find out which servers have an EU population and are friendly(:!
Cheers! x

Hi, i am from the uk, and about a month ago, i decided to make a gmt ls on sylph, as i was sick of being alone all day. It started out as a social, but we now run events too, but nothing mandatory. We average between 15 and 30ish members online at anytime, but generally it is a very busy linkshell. Best of all, it has ppl online throughout gmt times, as a lot are gmt themselves. Always stuff going on, and we have a lot of new/returning players too.
If interested, can check out our site, or send me a pm.
If its not what ur looking for, Good Luck on ur mission to find a home.

Asura has a lot of EU players, many of them from UK. I switched to Asura and stayed there for a few months - liked it.

It's pretty lively during EU prime time.

Not playing anymore since March, but I'd still recommend it.

Several people have told me that Ragnarok has a higher-than-usual number of players online during EU prime hours. That said, several of those same people have told me a lot of those players are "Arabs" who aren't very friendly players. This is what I've been told (not what I think). Take it with a grain of salt and I'd suggest finding a specific Linkshell that you'd like to join, rather than just seeking a server with a high EU population.
